Photo-Post Election Map
My cousin emailed this to me, and he's PISSED cause he lives in Montana and he's all insulted now. Is it funny or insulting?

If anyone is insulted by this, I'll edit.

You and others here at DU have helped me through the grieving progress and have motivated me to stay and fight for our country.
These criminals should be held accountable for their actions. Even if investigation into voting irregularities doesn't reverse the election it will hopefully point to the necessity of a consistant accountable voting system so that we know our vote counted.

15. I live in SC
and I think its hilarious!

People need to get a sense of humor and learn to laugh at themselves.

If you saw Bill Mahr's "Real Time" this weekend, you saw that certain Repubs do NOT have the ability to laugh at themselves. Alan Simpson and Andrew Sullivan demonstrated that they have a "one-way" sense of humor. It's funny only when the jokes on the other side. Bill Mahr should have slapped them both.

27. I'm in Arizona, in an isolated American Liberal Stronghold
The "Post Election US MAP" does not show the pockets of noble patriotic American resistance to the oppressive stupidity of Dumbfuckistan.

Use this map instead. I'm in the big blue rectangle in Southern Arizona.

Every state but Utah, Nebraska and Oklahoma has pockets of liberal resistance.

28. These are better maps and they reflect the blues better...
I'm hotlinking my favorite one

The states are drawn with a size proportional not to their sheer topographic acreage -- which has little to do with politics -- but to the number of their inhabitants, states with more people appearing larger than states with fewer, regardless of their actual area on the ground. Thus, on such a map, the state of Rhode Island, with its 1.1 million inhabitants, would appear about twice the size of Wyoming, which has half a million, even though Wyoming has 60 times the acreage of Rhode Island.

Here is the 2004 presidential election results on a population cartogram :

33. I don't see the problem..
sometimes the truth hurts.

Like the harsh truth that many of us are living among idiots.

Even though the election was stolen imo, many people still voted for this pathetic excuse for a leader.

That, I will never understand.

I like it!

I can't start a thread yet, so I thought this might be a good place to post an interesting perspective on red state v. blue state that was in the alternative weekly in Seattle.

This article makes the case that the Democratic base is in the cities, and that we need to build upon that....
