Make a Pledge --- To Post 1 Post a Day in Other Forums
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 05:45 PM by NoBushSpokenHere
With the media reading posts in General and on other forums throughout the "internets", make a pledge to post 1 simple, easy to read message a day in General or on another forum to educate about the theft of 2004 and about the vote eating machines. It is time we wake up the media AND PUBLIC.

Originally suggested by autorank in other posts, thank you autorank, and forgive me for stealing the idea.....I learned to steal from the prez..........lol

2. Recommended! Excellent idea! This is exactly what I'm doing.
I'm hitting the "Greatest" and "Latest Breaking" and linking everything to the fraudulent election. You wonder how this shit can be president? Here's how...

I'm a bit appalled at the ignorance in other forums--and glad to be doing this missionary work. Some people are onto it. Some don't know the simplest things.

I start with two far rightwing Bushites electronic voting machine companies--Diebold and ES&S--counting 80% of the votes in the 2004 election with SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code.

I mean, it's so absurd.

Then maybe (so they understand why Dem leaders aren't screaming about this), explain the bipartisan corruption among state/local election officials on the $4 billion boondoggle of electronic voting systems. This link to the lavish lobbying scene at the Beverly Hilton, sponsored by Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia, early this August, is helpful.

I try to keep it simple. We need...

Paper ballots hand-counted at the precinct level (--Canada does it in one day, although speed should not even be a consideration, just accuracy and verifiability)

or, at the least...

Paper ballot (not "paper trail") backup of all electronic voting, a 10% automatic recount, strict security, and NO SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code! (...jeez!).

-------

And sometimes I get into the issue polls, which are so amazing, thus: 58% of the American people opposed the Iraq war BEFORE the invasion. Feb. '03. Before all the lies were exposed; before the full horror and costs of it were known. Across the board in all polls. 58%!

Americans never supported this war. Never!

That stat--58%--only dipped once, during the few weeks of the invasion when U.S. troops were at max risk, then it went right back up to nearly 60%, where it stayed throughout the election.

How did this warmonger get elected?

The issue polls are also amazing. 60% to 70% of the American people oppose Bush on every major issue, foreign and domestic. The Iraq war. Torture policy. Social Security. The deficit. Women's rights. 60% to 70%! Across the board in all polls for over a year.

How did this rightwing extremist get elected?

The Democrats blew the Republicans away in new voter registration in 2004, nearly 60/40. Most new voters voted for Kerry. Most independent voters voted for Kerry. Most former Nader voters voted for Kerry. Gore 2000 voters--still pissed off about Stolen Election I--were the ones who got all their friends, family members and co-workers to register and vote for the first time (the new voters). They were highly motivated. Most of THEM, of course, voted for Kerry.

How did Bush get elected? He had Bush 2000 voters...and? Karl Rove said they had an "invisible" get out the vote campaign. When is the last time you believed Karl Rove?

Invisible, indeed. Electrons. Phantoms. NON-EXISTENT votes. Created out of thin air. Or stolen from Kerry. There is overwhelming evidence, including many Ph.D. studies, that this is what happened.

------

Another fact of importance: The TV networks FALSIFIED their own exit polls (Kerry won) to fit the "official result" derived by Diebold's and ES&S's secret vote tabulation formulae (Bush won), on everybody's TV screens on election night, thus depriving the American people of major evidence of election fraud, and squelching protests and calls for investigations.

The war profiteering corporate news monopolies thus did us one final, wretched disservice, as our democracy came crashing down around our ears.

------

And finally...

You wonder why Bush doesn't seem to represent the views of the great majority of Americans? Because he was. not. elected.

You wonder why Bush's "pod people" in Congress don't seem to represent the will of the majority of Americans? They were ALSO "selected" by major Bush donors and supporters at Diebold and ES&S, with SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code.

We MUST change this. Our best hope of doing so is at the state/local level, where the power over election systems still resides, and where ordinary people still have potential influence.

Diebold and ES&S election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor' NOW! (--or a Louisiana levee will do!).

------

I don't always add all this in--just the first few things, especially about the secret programming code. It's so insane. (Insane voting system = insane president?)

5. State and local levels...
Are basically Sec of State, The Congress in each state, and then county auditors, executives and councils.

I ran Andy's campaign, and am running myself for Council Exec, and can only encourage and support anyone who will step forward and also run for offices that control the voting sytems.

It's a great way to talk to lots of people about voting issues.

I am also greatly interested in networking voting activists. With Andy's campaign I had more time for researching groups on a state by state basis, but there's still much work to be done to really network nationally to support a grassroots agenda for taking back our voting systems.

Verified Voting has a decent list. Solarbus.org, and there's a few others. But I really think theres some more to be done here.
