there will be a tribute to Rev Bill Moss.
I would like to give a little personal story on Rev Moss. Prior to the election, I owned a clothing boutique in a Gallery District of Columbus. My knowledge of Bill Moss was partly formed by members of the Board of Education, who found Rev Moss to be distruptive to their meeting. His "antics" included wearing combat fatiques to B of Ed Meetings.
Then came the '04 election. Rev Moss, a close friend of Bob Fitrakis, was on the front lines in the fight to expose the election fraud. While other notable African Americans, such as Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman, were toting the Dem Party line in remaining silent on the major disenfranchisement that occurred (so blatant and disturbing that I closed my business of 17 years to fight the fraud and work on election reform), Rev Moss worked side by side with Freepress and others, including being instrumental in getting Rev Jesse Jackson involved. I was fortunate to get involved with these true patriots in the fight for our democracy. I hosted a NYE party which included such election fraud '04 luminaries as Fitrakis, Moss, Arnebeck, Richard Hayes Phillips (who is an astounding musician), Susan Truitt, Wasserman, Peckarsky, and many lesser names who contributed to our efforts.
Bill Moss was a long standing champion in the fight for those whose voices hold the least power. He was a gentleman and a true patriot. His passing has left a deep void in Columbus. I hope you will join Free Press at this event and join us in remembering this Champion of Social Justice!
