Verify your Registration Ahead of Time

I moved in April, and did register my new address. I received in the mail a little post card that I had to send back to verify my address (which I did).

I live in California, and we have a special election comming up, and so when I received election materials for the previous tenant where I live, but none for me, I called my city's Registrar of Voters, and I was stunned to find out I was listed as an 'inactive voter'.

So, they are sending out new election materials for me, but had I not been on the ball, I would not have been able to vote on 11/8.

Grrrr!
