Why you should vote if you aren't in battleground state...
Even if you live in New York don't think that your vote for Kerry doesn't count.

It is possible that Kerry could win the electoral college, but lose so much in the back country to be behind in the popular vote. If this happens the freepers will be even more annoying than they usually are.

Don't let those hypocrites hang the "illegitimate" label on him. Make it a route!

8. I second that!
I too, am a MA Dem and I noticed a huge early turnout at my polling place. This is simply an indication of the winds of change, because we KNOW Kerry will win his home state!

3. I'm in South By God Mississippi
The thought of not voting never crossed my mind. Oh, will I be (more) obnoxious if Kerry is even close in Mississippi.

4. and a second reason, mandate
A popular mandate will help Kerry work with moderate Republicans in Congress.

The Bush/Cheney agenda must be thoroughly repudiated.

9. Actually, I like the idea of Kerry winning the EC, ...
Dubya the popular vote. Nothing would do more to boost the chance of abolishing the EC. Of course, even better is that Kerry routs Dubya.

But none of this is the major reason to vote in non-battleground states. The major reason is that there are other races to be decided. No matter what else happens, Texas will probably go for Dubya; but my votes also went to a Dem for Congress and a Dem for state senate. They probably won't win; but they might.

11. I'm in NYC and we didn't let anyone work today
until they had gone around the corner to vote! LOL, it's only 50 yards from our shop to the polling place. No wait, either, NYC has like a billion polling places.

as red as it gets, but I can't express the joy I felt in marking my ballot Kerry/Edwards! Also, on the way home I saw a K/E bumper sticker on an old pick up truck. Good omen.

15. Me too . . .
Montana's as red as the blood Dubya has spilled, but I'm going out the door right now to vote for Kerry. He doesn't stand a chance to take the state, but my vote still says "get rid of that smirking chimp and his evil troll puppeteer."

19. I live in Texas
and I think it would be awesome if Bush didn't take Texas. But being realistic, I would even be great if it was 52%-48% margin.
