Touch Screen vote switching (again) leads to VA recount in AG race
Votes being switched again in Snohomish County Washington, on Sequoia machines, covered in the last several paragraphs of the link below. Even the computers for the webserver were not up to the task of handling requests to display election results:

Also, the AG race in Virginia as well as the Governor's race in Virginia were affected by vote switching on Advanced Voting Systems' touch screens. While Kaine still won handily, the AG race appears headed for a recount, and was also affected by switching. Here's two and half minutes of local TV coverage in VA at a link below:

1. Hmmm, they only allow up to 3 times to correct the votes?
I can envision some scenarios where that wouldn't be nearly enough.
I assumed there was just a time limit set by local election law or by poll workers. Any thoughts on that Land Shark? Is there a Retry counter?

2. Touch screen switching in Washington & Virginia in 2004 election
Snohomish County

Virginia

Switching and other manipulation had to be expected since it was widespread in the 2004 election. So weren't they planned for this time, with plans to monitor and do exit polls, audits, etc.?
