This also needs to be sent to the House Dems urging the GOA to investigate.

I'll see if I can find the link to their email form.

On edit:

Here's the form I was instructed to use:

32. PLEASE>>> NEWMEXICO #'s NOT FINAL PLEASE
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 10:37 AM by NMFreedom
Please do not send this information to the media until the vote count is final. These numbers are NOT final. I want this information to get to Olbermann too, I live in New Mexico, I see what has happened, but I want only the final truth to get out there, these numbers are Prelim only, they are changing daily. When we speak to the news media it needs to be factual only, Please, do not submit this information to Olbermann until the numbers are final. If anyone has sent this information to the media, please send a back up email explaining this data is not final. WE do not want to have egg on our faces, we want to have the numbers, speak for themselves.

8. Fraudsters' ineptitude is hilarious!
If these statistics are true, did whoever committed this fraud think they would get away with it?

Did poor Lincoln County not get the word that the fix was in? The thing that stands out is that that's the ONLY county which has even close to an even turnout among both Democrats and Republicans. (Well, Los Alamos Co. too, but they went over that naughty 100% turnout mark).

13. Not quite correct.
As ahimsa pointed out on another thread, the framing of the argument is a bit off. Just because Bush got more votes than there are registered Republicans in a county doesn't mean that Republicans had over 100% turnout. Here is how I would frame the argument...

Hidalgo County votes:

JOHN F. KERRY and JOHN EDWARDS Democratic 861 43.8%
GEORGE W. BUSH and DICK CHENEY Republican 1081 55.0%

Registered Voters:

Republican 665 22.41%
Democrats 2,132 71.83%

Assume that 90% of registered Republicans voted for Bush. That's 599 votes. Subtract 599 from 1081 and you get 482. That means 482 of Bush's votes would have to come from registered Dems. Divide 482 by 2,132 and you get 23% of Dems supposedly voting for Bush.

Even if you assume that 100% of R's voted for Bush, you still need 20% of D's to make up the difference. As ahimsa said, the large number of Dems who would supposedly have voted for Bush is the real mystery.

14. Agreed
I think using the word "turnout" is confusing things.

But I find it absolutely astonishing that so many registered Democrats would have voted for Bush instead of Kerry.

Does NM have a large population of "Dixiecrats" too?

16. Exactly
I live in one of the most conservative areas of the country yet the Dems margin over bush in 2000 increased 2% in 2004. In my bible thumping town Kerry got 2% more of the vote than did Gore...why not a shift here? Why FL & OH?

previous elections? I'm just wondering whether there's a "Dixiecrat" explanation for so many "Democrats" voting for the Indumbent.

18. New Mexico democrats - - LOOK HERE!!!
Please help get the word out for the NM provisional vote count... HURRY - - we have through Friday (tomorrow) only!

(already posted in NM state forum)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS IS AN ALERT

In Bernalillo County, thousands of provisional and other paper ballots are waiting to be counted in a warehouse at 2400 Broadway SW, a couple of blocks south of Gibson. There, minimally paid workers from the precincts work in pairs opening the sealed ballots, to read and tally them.

Party volunteers are needed to be present as observers and to keep tally of the presidential vote of each ballot as it is opened. The totals will be compared with the official precinct tallies. Training is minimal and provided on the spot. The process is boring but essential to keep the count honest and dependable.

One does not need to be a resident of Bernalillo County to participate. Help is desperately needed, and the deadline to complete the count is this Friday night.

Volunteers are needed from 8 AM to 8 PM from now through Friday. Usually observers volunteer for two or three hours at a time. To find out more about participating as a Democrat observer call Marci at 270-2526 or simply show up at Warehouse H, 2400 Broadway SW.

21. some of these numbers are wrong (for 2004)
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 09:10 AM by batchdem04
for example, on the spreadsheet it shows for Cibola County

Republican 3,969 52.47%
Democrats 3,428 45.32%

BUT, if you look at the NM's website it shows:

Democratic 3969 52.2%
Republican 3428 45.1%

the numbers are swapped by accident.

22. New Mexico Votes will not be final until 11/23
Good morning,
Thank you so much for all of your work for New Mexico, we so need help.

I do want to point out though, the numbers posted on the NM SOS site change daily, the final totals will not be done until 11/23. There are, as with many states, "problems". If this information is sent to Olbermann, please stress to him or any other news media that this information will not be final until 11/23. I would just like the information to be iron solid, no way anyone can come back and say, look at the liberals crying... I want the Republicans to see the final data, that something is not right with our current voting system, truth that has to be looked at.

25. I was also looking at NM last night & noticed 1 county had been zeroed out
and a few others were dramatically different than previously reported.

I figured they were just "updating" (fiddling with) the numbers..

26. I'm not giving the benefit of the doubt that 100% Repubs voted for bush
Why should I? Even the bush campaign numbers and all polls I've seen showed his support at approximately 90 percent, IIRC. So why should we now assign 100% to him. Why give him the benefit of the doubt? They don't give it to us.

Use their stats and apply them. The bush campaign, and other polls, seemed to show 90% Repubs for bush, and 80 to 85% Dems for Kerry. Again, going from memory.

A lot of Republicans, especially moderates, were turning against bush in the final days, because his FUBAR modus operandi was being exposed. So we also need to consider, how moderate are the NM Republicans, and how conservative are the NM Democrats?

I live in a very conservative area of Oregon, and quite a few Repubs I know voted for Kerry.
