money talks: my letter to moveon 2006 election plan
dear MoveOn
along with my contribution to your 2006 Election Plan, I want to alert you to the fact that Rush Holt's comprehensive HR 550 amendment to the fraudulent "Help America Vote Act," HR550 has now gathered 160 co-sponsors, including some Republicans. Please fight to help pass HR550 before the 2006 elections.
We won't win back Congress with secretive, proprietary, hack-friendly, non-verifiable and non-auditable e-voting technology! Let's cure electile dysfuntion before we loose even more congressional seats.

1. Agreed!
BTW, do you have any thoughts on their postings forum? I always found it very user unfriendly; big waste of time and effort. Maybe I'm missing something.

3. Same here. I don't even use it because of that. they really need a
way that members can give feedback that is user friendly. And they need to be responsive to the thousands of members who have writtten asking that they take on e-voting as an issue.

2. money talks?
I take it a step further.

I tell them, I have contributed in the past but I am not contributing now because I feel you are not addressing the problems with our election system adequately. Throwing money at campaigns is like throwing it in the toilet when elections are stolen and votes are not counted properly. MoveOn needs to attack this issue head on if you want to take back congress. We can't allow private Republican owned companies to count our votes in secret, which is what is happening now. The elections are rigged. I eagerly await the day when you move your millions of members to take action regarding the problems with electronic voting, at which point I will gladly start contributing again.

6. Moveon just wants your money
where have they been for the past several years?

be ware of organizations that do nothing useful but want your money.

Moveon is irelevent.

Give money to www.VerifiedVoting.org or www.VoteTrustUSA.org or
to www.BradBlog.com who all care about getting our votes counted and
work their behinds off on behalf of you.

Oh, also, give money to www.EFF.org who went to court for me in NC 3 different times.
Without them, Diebold would have gotten away with having a judge change our law.

Moveon has done nothing except take credit for everyone else's work, including
ours in NC.
Alot of Tarheels made our law happen, but Moveon - NOT.

7. Yes, Anyone who isn't
calling out the election theft machines is useless to the cause they can all pretend to be American, but sooner or later their children and or granchildren will have to vote on these machines. Sure hope the ones that didn't fight, feel proud of themselves for letting their kids votes get manipulated.

8. politics is the art of the possible
while I agree with the points made above, I am not sure about the do-it-alone tactics. A lot of the three million and a half moveon members think like we do, but may not say it. We need to be their voice. Moveon needs to hear from more of us more often.
