The voting machine fix II

The voting machine fix II

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Douglas Bauman questions why Pennsylvania is being forced to conform to the electronic voting system.
Isn't it obvious? The Republicans cannot win the state of Pennsylvania, one of the few states that are adamantly Democrat. The solution? Fix the voting machines, so they can rig Pennsylvania like they did Florida.

The next presidential election is spelling certain doom for the Republicans, but if they can capture the state that usually predicts the winner and combine it with enslaved Florida, they create a base that is difficult to diffuse.

The chaos that erupted in Florida will erupt here, keeping the Republicans afloat. Say no to new voting machines; it won't help them this time anyway.

1. We keep saying no, and state officials keep buying them anyway.
There has been a last minute rush to get these vote-stealers in place for the next election.
The public is adamantly opposed to voting on DREs in particular, but they're being forced on us.
What happened to representative government and politicians following "the will of the people"?

We keep waiting for Dem leaders to stand up for us, and they keep saying that only "the people" can solve this mess.

At least when we're asked about rethug voting-stealing machines, we say "no".
When they're asked, they more often than not say "yes".

2. I know, use our money to sue states so that they can steal our vote
all while the money that they use to sue the state in order to force that state to take our money to buy machines that will steal our votes, could have been spent helping the Katrina people. HAVA needs to be put on hold and the HAVA money sent to the Katrina people, so they can get some sorta of housing, at the minimum. But as we know this Administration and both sides of the government has their priorities, first and foremost.

NO people can live in the street as long as they have their SHINY new election theft machines.

GuvWurld is looking for info on,

--casting the vote
--storing cast votes
--accessing stored cast votes
--counting cast votes
--aggregating local vote counts
--storing ballots of record
