Getting our Message Out thru Local Paper Political Forums
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 04:21 PM by mod mom
Hi all, Midterms are just around the corner and we need to get more awareness of the corruption in our election system out to the general public. I would like to suggest we post information at local/state newspaper political forums. It is free and they are read by those outside our well informed DU community here. Here is an example of something I posted at Cleveland Plain Dealer's website Cleveland.com:

302. Our election system is corrupt and unverifiable.

After the debacle of 2004 election under the direction of Blackwell, with his voter suppression techniques, mis-allocation of machines in high Dem precincts, purges of Dem voters, caging, vote switching and poorly run Boards of Elections (example: Lucas Co.he Lucas County BOE during the past election. I hope you have taken the time to read the SOS's Investigation of Lucas county following the election:
http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/elections/lucas.htm

This report includes the fact that REPUBLICAN VOLUNTEERS were allowed UNSUPERVISED ACCESS to UNSECURED BALLOTS prior to the election, as well as this list:

*failure to maintain ballot security*Inability to implement and maintain a trackable system for voter ballot reconciliation .*failure to prepare and develop a plan for the processing of the voluminous amount of voter registration forms received.*issuance and acceptance of incorrect absentee ballot forms.*manipulation of the process involving the 3% recount.*disjointed implementation of the Directive regarding the removal of Nader and Camejo from the ballot .*failure to properly issue hospital ballots in accordance with statutory requirements.*failure to maintain the security of poll books during the official canvass*failure to examine campaign finance reports in a timely manner.*failure to guard and protect public documents.), Does anyone really think this time Blackwell will play fair in counting his own votes in '06?

New link to SOS Investigation:

BTW. Did you know that Bernadette Noe (wife of Tom) was the chair of the Lucas County BOE at the time of the '04 election? Perhaps the reason that Blackwell investigated this mess was because he was aware that the Noe-Coingate-Money Laundering to Bush campaign Scandal was about toexplode:-snip-
Although Mr. Kidd made his allegation in March, 2004, it wasn't until September that the county prosecutor's office received information - generated by a subpoena that a county grand jury issued - that ruled out the allegation by Mrs. Noe and Mr. Thurber against Mr. Kidd."

Blackwell wants to look "anti-corruption/cronyism" yet look how he mis-managed the election and had selected Bernadette Noe as chair.

7. The only thing Blackwell is suited for is an orange jumpsuit
and a long prison time.

You are welcome, and thank you as well.
