Retesting vote machines gets a 'nay'

State turns down Northampton County residents' request.

The state has refused to reconsider its certification of electronic voting machines that Northampton County has ordered.

Eleven voters, led by Alan Brau, a physician from Hanover Township, asked the Pennsylvania Department of State this month to re-examine WINvote machines made by Advanced Voting Solutions of Frisco, Texas.

The voters asked for a test by independent computer experts, not affiliated with the government or machine manufacturer, to determine if the system could be hacked into. They fear an election could be rigged by hackers.

In a letter to Brau this week, Commonwealth Secretary Pedro Cortes said the WINvote system has passed a 17-point state inspection, as well as a federal inspection.

since when do "we the people" have no voice?? we keep being told..no problem with the machines..but no one dare let "we the people" check to guard our votes...independantly...

i never in my life thought i would see this day...

we need protests..we need unending protests to these superviors offices...and department of states...we need to make them so uncomfortable going into their offices..and make the media pay attention!
