Everyone please check the latest at

There are sufficient irregularities that we should at
the very least prevail upon our congressional
delegation to join in the election inquiry lodged
before the GAO by John Conyers Jr. of Michigan,
Jerrold Nadler of New York and Robert Wexler of
Florida.

It also looks like there is a push for an official
Ohio recount:

Ohio recount updates:

11/7 Statewide: NY Times reports 92,000 overvotes,
undervotes, and "counting errors."

11/7 Statewide: NY Times reports 155,000 provisional
ballots, but they could all be thrown out because it
takes 3 votes to count a provisional ballot on county
boards with 2 Dems and 2 Reps. Over 90% are probably
valid.

11/7 Auglaize County: Former ES&S employee tampered
with the vote counting computer on October 16.

11/6 Statewide: Activists plan recount around this
calendar: Absentee deadline is 11/12, then canvass
begins; certification expected 12/1; then recount can
begin. Any disputes over choosing Electors must be
resolved by 12/7; the Electoral College meets on
12/13.

11/6 Miami County: 19,000 votes added to tally in
exact same proportion?

11/6 Darke County: 3,000 new votes ALL for Bush?

11/5 Warren County: 92,251 votes counted in secret -
Bush gets 72%

11/3 Outrage in Ohio: Hundreds storm State House in
response to massive voter suppression and corruption

11/3 Statewide: Was the Ohio Election Honest and Fair?

2. That is somewhat inaccurate
In the event that a majority will not accept the Provisional Ballot as valid, Mr Bushlover Blackwell himself would have the ultimate say on whether it would count. Oh, ok. guess they will all be thrown out then.

3. This is ILLEGAL

They CAN'T throw them out. This is an initial count. They must be preserved for a RECOUNT challenge. I already notified the press in Ohio as to what Blackwell is trying to do--changing rules, etc.--and that it violates statutes.

4. Some interesting stuff here... They claim to have a letter from Cam Kerry
http://blog.democrats.com/recount#comment-2228

Statement from Cam Kerry:
Submitted by Bob Fertik on November 9, 2004 - 2:08pm.
I am grateful to the many people who have contacted me to express their deep concern about questions of miscounting, fraud, vote suppression, and other problems on election day, especially in Florida and Ohio. Their concern reflects how much people care about the outcome of this election.

I want to you to know we are not ignoring it. Election protection lawyers are still on the job in Ohio and Florida and in DC making sure all the votes are counted accurately. I have been conferring with lawyers involved and have made them aware of the information and concerns people have given me. Even if the facts don't provide a basis to change the outcome, the information will inform the continuing effort to protect the integrity of our elections.

If you have specific factual information about voting problems that could be helpful to the lawyers doing their job, please send it to vri@dnc.org rather than to me.

The election protection effort has been important to me personally, and I am proud of the 17,000 lawyers around the country who helped. It's obvious that we have a way to go still, but their efforts helped make a difference. Their work goes on.

Thank you,

Cam Kerry

6. Blackwelll is changing the rules in the middle to throw out
provisional ballots:

New Free Press article:

Are the provisional ballots in Ohio being thrown out? A new rule for counting provisional ballots in Cuyahoga County, Ohio was implemented on Tuesday, November 9 at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon, according to election observer Victoria Lovegren.

The new ruling in Cuyahoga County mandates that provisional ballots in yellow packets must be "Rejected" if there is no "date of birth" on the packet. The Free Press obtained copies of the original "Provisional Verification Procedure" from Cuyahoga County which stated "Date of birth is not mandatory and should not reject a provisional ballot." The original procedure required the voter's name, address and a signature that matched the signature in the county's database.

Lovegren described the clerks as "kind of disturbed" after the new ruling came down. She said that one of the clerks told her, "This is new. This just came down. They just changed it in the last thirty minutes." According to Lovegren, 80 yellow-jacketed provisional ballots piled up in the hour and 45 minutes she observed. By Lovegren's tally, three provisional ballots were rejected because the registered voters' registration had been "cancelled." The rest, she said, were being discarded because of no date of birth.
