2. They closed at 8:00, so about 45 minutes ago.

But they just said that anyone in line at 8:00 would be allowed to vote. From what I understand, there really weren't any long lines, but a steady flow with occasional lulls.

Orleans Parish has the longest wait time for election results in Louisiana.

I remember from countless election night returns that Orleans Parish usually starts turning in results after 95%+ of the state has finished returning theirs.

Of course, due to Hurricane Katrina, the regular election schedule for Orleans Parish was disrupted. Therefor, they are holding belated elections in this Parish **ONLY**. There will be no other Parishes to compare to.
