Presidential Candidates To Demand Ohio Recount
Press Release

David Cobb and Michael Badnarik, the 2004 Green and Libertarian presidential candidates, today announced their joint intent to secure a recount of presidential ballots cast in Ohio.
"Due to widespread reports of irregularities in Ohio's voting process, we are compelled to demand a recount of the Ohio presidential vote," the two candidates said in a joint statement. "Voting is at the heart of the American political process and its integrity must be preserved. When Americans stand in line for hours to exercise their right to vote, they need to know that their votes will be counted fairly and accurately. We are acting to protect the rights of the people of Ohio, and the rights of all Americans. Public trust in the democratic process is at stake."

The candidates also demanded that Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, a Republican who chaired the Ohio Bush campaign, recuse himself from the recount process.

1. .....like this...
"The candidates also demanded that Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, a Republican who chaired the Ohio Bush campaign, recuse himself from the recount process."

Now that would be great!

4. So why does it take these two men to ask for a recount?
Why can't the Democratic nominee for president ask the same thing? Good luck to Messrs. Cobb and Badnarik.

5. I am glad that at least someone is willing to sand up for us.
Even if that someone has no chance in hell of actually winning, FRAUD or no FRAUD.
Way to go, Cobb and Badnarik!

7. Because the media barely reports their existence let alone their requests
But if the recount results in a Kerry victory in Ohio, Kerry wins.

However, if Kerry asked for the recount, the media would eat him alive. If the recount worked in his favor, the media and wingnuts would say it was only because he sued his way to the WH.

Cobb and Badnarik are the best solution. Either way, the result will be the same.

6. hahaha! how is "libertarian" anti-"liberal bedwetters" Neal Boortz
going to spin this?? I know he will want to be scathingly contemptuous of recounts but he had Badnarik as an honored guest on his gasbag show and pretends to be a "libertarian." is he going to direct his pseudo-intellectual spew of lies against the action of his own party's candidate?

8. Boortz is NOTHING CLOSE to a Libertarian
He is a neo-con who uses the Libertarian label to give himself some imaginary "edge" against the flood of conservative talk shows. In reality, he is a bushbot...not a Libertarian. They were against the war...against Ashcroft...against all of the BS bush has supported from the start.
