Deniability mechanisms and conspiracy theory
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 07:29 PM by LisaM
I don't think there was "a" conspiracy. I think that what's going on is in the nature of loosely-related multiple cases of wrongdoing. I think there were probably thousands of cases of vote fraud (enabled by the machines) with most of the people keeping deliberately unaware of what is going on in other elections. This is how these people do things. Those at the top are kept purposely uninformed.

5. The Bigger Conspiracy
Democrats Cry Foul, Urge Vote Inquiry By WILLIAM MARCH wmarch@tampatrib.com

Dubious Democrats

Arthur Pinner, Dixie County Democratic chairman, took the argument further. He voted personally for Bush, he said, "on account of his morals."

Kerry "was a liberal way down the road; he believed in same-sex marriage and abortion," Pinner said. "It came out in all the magazines."

Pinner couldn't name which magazines reported that - in fact, Kerry opposes gay marriage - before clarifying that his source wasn't a magazine.

"Pamphlets that was passed out in church," he said. He wasn't sure whom the pamphlets came from, but said, "I believed them enough so I didn't vote for him."

Isn't this the bigger scandal and the reason which really won Bush the election? Partisan churches, by letting Bush supports distribute lies, should lose their non-profit status surely. (the emphisis above is mine)
