SDiego Union Tribune: "security measures were high" in election. NOT!!!
Edited on Fri Jun-16-06 01:29 PM by emlev
"...I was an observer at the registrar's office this past election night. Security measures were high..."

"In an ever-changing landscape of election law and technology, in a climate of crisis and criticism, election workers have successfully conducted our elections – and an unprecedented number of elections at that. These dedicated officials make sure that all our votes are counted. They work long hours in the weeks leading up to and following each election. They deserve our thanks and recognition."

Those are a couple of quotes from this http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20060616/news_lz1e16lane.html
piece by SAN DIEGO'S ASSISTANT CITY CLERK in the San Diego Union Tribune. (In my California county, the City Clerk is the chief elections official.) This is spin.

I don't have time to respond, working on too many angles of the Busby-Bilbray thing. Could someone(s) here take on responding to this via LTTE?

Thank you!

P.S. There are plenty of links in posts on the Election Forum to give you background information. The best collection of work on this election is at http://www.bradblog.com.

1. They do deserve our thanks.
But they don't deserve us to bow before them and accept the product offered without question. That is what the communists require from their subjects.

We Americans bow not to the government.

2. Yes they were! If you think that
securing Ft. Knox with a paper clip is sufficient!

4. The City Clerk's office is by no means impartial - they run municipal
elections using the same equipment and procedures used in all other elections.
