Give me on example of Kerry votes going to Bush

NBC said it was so.

Someone please show me one case where electronically Kerry got a measurable number of votes in error that should of went to Bush?

Lets say more than 500 votes as our cutoff for this exercise.

I'm sure there must be ONE case, there are so many "unexplained" anomalies out there in favor of Bush. There should be an equal number of errors the other way if they are truly random.

1. touchscreens switched both ways, apparently
Edited on Fri Nov-12-04 12:10 AM by Eric J in MN
ABQ Journal article on people in New Mexico using touchscreens choosing Kerry and getting Bush on the review-screen or chooing Bush and getting Kerry on the review-screen, and then tell me if that seems ok to you:

http://www.abqjournal.com/elex/246845elex10-22-04.htm

Doesn't mean it's hunky-dory.

We don't know how much votes were switched each way, so this just mean the election-results are garbage.

2. Call me biased, but I don't believe the Bush people.
It's not like they are above lying as we all know.

5. This would occur due to errors in touchscreen calibration...
...I'm amazed they didn't do more to prevent this, it's a common issue with "industrial" vertical-app touchscreen devices. On initial bootup, a calibration is performed:

center
upper left
upper right
lower left
lower right
center

If one were to miss one of these 'marks' the screen calibration would be off, and one 'region' of the screen would be over-represented. If you are assume a 100 x 100 grid of "touchpoints" (thus 10,000 points), and you get one of the marks off by placing say 'center' 20 points above the true center, you'd get a corresponding shift in the touch mask that would over-represent all touches below center by 20%.

Monumentally stupid and irresponsible to use these devices in an election with such profound consequences.

6. In the instances that the touch screens
voted for the opposite candidate, it was an issue of the machines needing to be re-calibrated. That is probably legit, HOWEVER... I haven't seen any other swings for Kerry like I've been seeing for Bush in the other "anomalies" reported.

3. You are missing the point!
The whole point is that electronic voting machines of any kind that don't give the voter a reciept are ARE NOT RECOUNTABLE OR VERIFIABLE!!!!!!

4. You Post Title is Confusing
A shitload of Kerry votes went Bush's way. 100% of NM Republicans turned out.
