I HOPE YOU ALL CAN FIND THE HEART TO FORGIVE
Me...

First I want to make it clear I am new to this community, but already have a love for it and am grateful to have found such a therapeutic community. It has helped a lot. But.....

Some venting is in order.

How many times are we going to rehash the same FUCKING Kerry lawyer quotes? What purpose is this possibly serving? I am so fucking frustrated with this election, have lost sleep, feel numb daily, and am praying with all my might that we collectively expose this fraud. But I am still reeling about the campaigns in general. Bushies deciet, propaganda machine, how they took a genuine war hero that has only loved america his whole damn life, and assassinated his character like nothing I've ever seen. WHY ARE SOME OF US CONTINUING TO ASSASSINATE THIS MANS CHARACTER????? For Gods sake already, the lawyers, Kerry, the team, are handling the PR part of this exactly as they should. There are a ton of intellectual posts on here that very clearly explain why this is a brilliant strategy, yet some of us are choosing to ignore them and still want to try and convince the community that Kerry has failed us, doesn't care, and just wants us tin foil wackos to just shut up already.

Can't you see that the media circus and public CHAOS that surrounded the 2000 results is WHY we ultimately lost the battle? Yes, this is more than Kerry, more then party affiliation, it IS about democracy. But that doesn't give us the right to continue to drag John F. Kerry through the mud merely because of misconstrued quoted.

So I have a message. And yes, I respect the values of free speech and know that this community has the right to post whatever they want, whether I agree with it or not, whether it is negative or not, and they have a right to excercise their free speach. I think I'll excercise mine....

My message?

John Kerry is a war hero and American Patriot. LEAVE HIM THE FUCK ALONE ALREADY!

Whew...... I feel better now.....

4. I broke myself working for his election through ACT
I think he would like all of us to shut up and sit down. I think he betrayed us in 2000 too. At least Gore spent 36 days fighting for a recount.

If I am proved wrong I will apologize.

6. Did the Indians sit in the middle of the plains
waiting for the settlers to come and get them?

Or did they hide in the hill, waiting and getting ready for the attack. When the settlers arrived in the middle of the valley, then they would look up and see they were surrounded by Indians. Who do you think won that battle?

I sincerely doubt Kerry is sitting around licking his wounds and trying to get over it. This isn't over until the Electoral College votes. Save your judgment for then.

5. So what is it that you want us to forgive you for?
Your title led me to believe you had done something that you requested forgiveness for, yet your post didn't mention what that was.

What exactly is that for which you request forgiveness?

Show your support for the president, wear a FUCK BUSH button!

9. Because
I am new here, and I knew I was bitching/venting to the community. Figured there was some risk with that, but didn't mind, I have asbestos underroos on.

Also, yeah, there was kinda an ulterior motive. I wanted to get the message out cause I was gettin a little frustrated of seeing this, and figured I needed an effective header hehe

16. LOL underoos
that word cracks me up. So does the word duty which was really embarrassing at work because occasionally that word has to be a part of your vocabulary and there I would be giggling like an idiot. But I digress.
I agree I REALLY liked Kerry. I liked that he wasn't good at playing their stupid I'm rubber and your glue game. He wasn't trying to be polarizing and actually I don't think he was trying to be a centerist. I saw him as trying to be more inclusive to at least make an attempt to not leave people disenfranchised. I do think he won. I think these people will stop at nothing to win and they have the money and power to do it.....you really think they would leave an election up to God? They think they ARE God.

7. Unfortunately, in today's politics
Edited on Fri Nov-12-04 10:41 AM by nine30
whoever wins the Dirty Game wins. It doesn't matter if you are a war hero or a coward/traitor. Its how you portray the OTHER person in people's eyes that counts.

Karl Rove won that game (as he has every other in his political career).

10. That's the most unfortunate result
The Dirty Game has proved successful once again which means we will be treated to it in 2006 and 2008. Like Clinton says, they'll only use these tactics as long as they work.

8. I'll give him the
benefit of the doubt and withhold my judgement until we have a new election, recount,or whatever until the electoral college makes their decision.
If he still has nothing to say then I will say what I think.

15. NO we lost the battle in 2000 because of the corrupt supreme court
Edited on Fri Nov-12-04 12:16 PM by bullimiami
media circus be damned. gore saw no way to go on after the felonious 5 got done with him.

if you dont fight you wont win. if you fight you at least have a chance. let this go without a whimper and the voting problems will just not get fixed and we are done.

i will not participate in another election in this case. it would just be an exercise in futility.

17. Clarification
My point about that is the Supreme Court's ruling had cited that there was no consensus on how to count the ballots. It was also considered by many too late to go back to do so because they had been overhandled and and compromised. The mass hysteria and chaos that followed the 2000 results gave way to count, don't count, count like this, count like that and in the end just undermined the entire process. If it had been controlled instead of chaotic, and consensus of rules along with proper planning being done prior to the recounts, we very well may have seen a different public reaction and ultimately different election outcome.

It would take me pages to get more into that theory, but my main point is that I am convinced the way this effort is going right now is exactly the way it needs to go for us to have things turn our way this time.
