This may seem out of place in this forum, but it is not. These people--majority of kids themselves--joined the military to serve their country and help preserve our freedoms. They did NOT sign up to further the cause of George Bush, nor did they sign up to enable our rights to be taken away under the umbrella of terrorism.
Of particular interest is...that in the 100 deaths...86 have occurred "after" mission accomplished... Shaking head. I knew one of these young men. He went to school with my kids.

The 100 Texas deaths in the Iraq war by the numbers:

•No. 1: Marine Cpl. Brian Kennedy, 25, of Houston, killed in a CH-46E helicopter accident near the Kuwait-Iraq border

•No. 100: Marine Staff Sgt. Russell Slay, 28, of Humble, killed by enemy action in Al Anbar Province

•Youngest: Army Pvt. Ruben Estrella-Soto, 18, of El Paso; Marine Pfc. Dustin M. Sekula, 18, of Edinburg

•Oldest: Army Chief Warrant Officer Clarence E. Boone, 50, of Fort Worth

•Service: Army 65, Marine Corps 31, Air Force 1, National Guard/Reserves 3

•Median age: 22.5

•Age 21 or younger: 43

•No. of Hispanics: 40

•No. of women: 3

•No. of officers: 7

•No. of Texas counties with Iraq deaths: 47

•Most deaths from a county: 16, Harris County

•Most deaths in a day: 5 on March 23, 2003

•Most deaths in a week: 12 from April 4-11, 2004

•Most deaths in a month: 17 in April 2004

•Deaths after President Bush declared "Mission accomplished" and an end to major combat operations: 86
