We're winning! Fox says we're helping the terrorists and killing marines!
Election Questions That Just Won't Quit

Most of the world figured America had the monkey off its back... we had a presidential election and there was a clear winner.George W. Bush was the winner. Even John Kerry (search) admitted it.

*skip*

Two of my colleague news anchors on other networks actually gave this non-story cable network coverage. It is unconscionable.

*skip*

Then some Marine colonel will lead his men into the next Fallujah and find the damn book in a jihadi terrorist decapitation dungeon — inspirational reading before sawing off someone's head.

This is how stupid ideas get people killed.

That's My Word.

This is without a doubt the best news so far. They are getting scared, so it is time to start with slanderous, baseless attacks that a free press is unpatriotic and jeopardizes lives. We are getting very close to making a difference. Anyone listen to Rush today?

3. of course
Naturally, having the middle east believe that there is unwavering support for Bush will completely discourage terrorists and anything else helps them......

Fox logic has to be seen to be believed.

19. John Gibson???
That fascist creep that said the BBC was "anti-American"???

They are still reviewing that case because in Great Britain to lie in the media is legally punishable, just to let you know.

On faux news, "to lie in the media" is their motto. Also, it helps if they are unconscionable and arrogant.

....I knew that this would be the "battle cry"...I heard Novak spew it a few days ago.....WE must fight back with the same and I agree ....they know this story will not go away....the American people will hold them accountable....we are seeing an incredible amount of organization(it takes time)and it started in the one place where they have no power to control...the INTERNET.I never thought that the dissemination of NEWS versus information would be the real tipping point...it is incredible to be able to watch the ways they try to control.

4. questioning leads to decapitation
I guess this is a subconscious affirmation on Gibson's part that if he ever began to question the assumptions of his miserable philosophy his head would fall off.

12. I'd say Gibson's words have moved us into Phase 3.
Calling us unpatriotic and accusing us of helping terrorists is definitely an attack posture. Not to mention downright ludicrous. Of course, an attack does not necessarily have to make sense to anyone but the attacker and his followers.

Well, whaddaya know? Faux News fears us.

By escalating this to the attack stage, they've given the issue legitimacy and more coverage. Too bad. For them.

9. "Anyone listen to Rush today?" Never have and never will....
B* and Rush sacrifice lives for oil. We are in this war because of B* lies, an impeachable offense if there ever was one. Mass Murder, not war. The issue of family values was used ad nauseum by Papa Bush; same sick lie today; the article below was written in 1992. God have pity on this nation. It is truly led by criminals. I thought Halliburton was bad. The B* family is beyond odious.

http://www.motherjones.com/news_wire/bushboys.html

"President George Bush claims that only a return to traditional family values can cure the "poverty of spirit" that plagues places like our decaying inner cities. But after a closer look, particularly at his adult children, one cannot help but wonder about the values that matter to his own family.

Bush says he is proud of his sons. One of them rented himself out to a crooked developer who scammed HUD and helped pry millions out of Medicare to fuel a giant health-care scam. A second (Shrub, W himself! parentheses mine)may have profited from an insider stock transaction in a gulf oil deal at the very time that U.S. soldiers were dying to make that region safe for oil. And the third son ran a savings and loan into the ground while shoveling millions of its taxpayer-backed dollars into the pockets of two deadbeat partners.

18. Don't let him get away with it!
That piece makes me furious. I say we don't let him get away with it.
This was my reply to Gibons:

Regarding your piece: "Election Questions That Just Won't Quit"

What are we fighting for in Iraq if not democracy? You apparently believe the people should be silenced and not allowed to express their ideas. You mean to say that only Fox News, the GOP, and Democratic Party should be the only ones allowed to raise issues involving electoral matters? This country belongs to the people, not Newscorp and not the two major political parties. Election irregularities are a problem, not because the outcome of the presidential election might be overturned (that seems highly unlikely) but because WE THE PEOPLE have a right to a fair, accurate and transparent electoral process. Errors with voting machines have altered the outcome of local elections in Indiana, North Carolina, and Florida. As a democratic society, we must insist such problems be corrected. I find your contempt for democracy appauling. That you would charge those of us who seek to make better our electoral process--and hence our democracy--as responsible for the deaths of American soliders is beyond contempt. It's also saddening that you care so little about the democratic rights of the American people.

He is one of the most insufferably smug characters I have ever had the misfortune to watch on a television screen. Utterly and completely convinced of his own rectitude, I'm not sure you can reason with such people, it just amazes me that people watch them in such large numbers

30. His word is GOD's word...
As they drift farther into discordance with reality in order to maintain their loyalty to the Bush administration, their disconnect becomes so much more apparent.

Of course, there will be those terminal loyalists who will hang on to FOX as their only news source because they believe, in a highly politicized environment full of Democrats trying to dissuade them, only right-wing propaganda can be trusted. That much is given.

Prepare for it to get much worse before it gets better. We need to be careful about cheering on the advocates of our destruction, even if it looks like they've gone, irretrievably, over the edge of sanity.
