Is the deadline for requesting recounts in OH and FL really 5 PM tonight?
If so, where does it stand? I'm seeing contradictory information. This seems fairly crucial.

2. I don't think so, at least not in Ohio.
What I've read is that you can't even ask for a recount until the official count is in (and it currently isn't in). I believe losing candidates have five days to ask for a recount after the official count is released.

3. I've heard that as well...
I've heard that as well...
The recounts will not be taking place until December most likely... Any news on Nader in NH. I can't seem to find anything on what towns they are auditing.

6. Well, I've found this on Hardblogger since I posted. Says more time is
available. I hope he is right. Someone had posted elsewhere that the deadline was today.

And I also would like to have firm information about Nader and NH. Anybody?

4. The official count has ended yet. But, I think, from what I've heard,
that any candidate has 10 days after the official count to request a recount. There's no way the cutoff date could be tonight when the official count hasn't ended yet.

5. How can anyone even ask for a recount until the vote is certified?
The only state certified that is being challenged so far is NH and according to Ida Briggs post in GD those funds have now been covered.

Ohio & Fla aren't even done counting yet.

7. You are right. I just got worried because of info in a different thread.
It was apparently incorrect. I am relieved.
