5. Ahhnold is notorious...
For pushing money making decisions on the people, through an expensive election that was never going to bear fruit. That's how he started as CA Gov.

It was a stupid waste of money we don't have, period. They were stupid initiatives that were never going to pass... oh, except for that last one about not allowing the state to up their own pay rates during a recession. That was a no brainer. The other two were ridiculous, and none of it was worth spending all that money that is sorely needed elsewhere.

6. In this case the CA Legislature was on board, placing these on the ballot.
These weren't like Arnie's previous Propositions which were attempts at end runs around the Legislature.

2. No, it wasn't worth it
They only other special election that was more worthless was the special election to recall Grey Davis and elect Arnie.

3. It's my understanding that the special election was part of the GOP "compromise"
engineered by Arnie and the one or two Senators he could peel off for their paltry support of the previous half-assed "solutions..."
