I just tried to look up a document at VoteTrustUSA and found their web domain expired last month.

thx

You might be able to get more information from http://verifiedvoting.org

5. It's conceivable that they haven't realized that the domain expired.
It only expired this month and Verified Voting still has links to it on their site, so it's conceivable that they may have inadvertently let it expire.

7. if it expired it probably hasn't been active
i'm guessing things have changed a lot since obama got elected, and there are less people fighting for election justice in general. there's always a big spike in interest before an election and a big let down after. there are likely less people, and the organizations. i know I have (shamefully) become less active in election reform and I'm sure i'm not the only one.

I was just updating our Vermonters for Voting website (http://vtvoters.org) and noticed we had a dead link to votetrustusa.org... For all I know it could have become inactive months ago.

Onward...

8. VTUSA rocked, but internal squabbles led to its demise.

It's very sad. VV picked up the pieces, but they have not kept the website up to date.

For all the good work that VTUSA and others have done, little has changed when it comes to election integrity. A few more states with ballot scanners instead of DREs. No real auditing using the paper ballots to speak of. Almost complete dependence on software to certify elections, etc.

It's been a decade for some of the folks involved. Much longer for a few others. Seven or eight years for a LOT of us! Burnout is setting in and some will not or can not work on the issue without being paid for their trouble.

And yes, we don't have as radical and unpopular a president as the Shrub. The changes are much more subtle now and more at the state level, e.g., Wisconsin.

And if you think it's hard to verify federal elections, wait til you try state elections! Is it a coincidence that this is the new frontier for the plutocrats? Well actually, Texas has had this problem for years.)
