I hope this isn't a stupid election question...

Hi, I'm fairly new here, so pardon me if this has already been cleared up.

Hypothetical:

Say a state was forced to do a recount because fraud was discovered. The state in question had a mix of paper ballots with opti-scan machines/and some scary, no paper trail, black box machines.

So, how could they even perform a valid recount, even if it had to be done? Would they just automatically void all of the black box votes and only recount the paper-trail ballots? Obviously, not all the votes would be getting counted, but what other choice would they have?

I hope that's not too confusing...my head has been spinning the last couple of weeks. Thank GOD for DU. You guys are great!

In FL for instance DRE systems are exempt from recounts.

well that law will have to go down very fast because the Ohio ands NC "glitches" prove they are prone to error.

they will recount any paper they have and the black boxes they just have to take the results they have

they have some ways to check things on them but not many

If the fraud discovered involved BBV, and I was the judge, I would have to declare the entire election invalid. I guess then it would be up to the State Legistlature to chose the electors.

Even if nothing can be done about this election, the truth WILL come out. Maybe not next week, next month, or even next year.
