FL Senator Race could still go to Castor
Castor lost FL by only 1.1%.

1% would have triggered an automatic recount.

http://enight.dos.state.fl.us/DetailRpt.Asp?ELECTIONDATE=11/02/2004&RACE=USS&PARTY=&DIST=&GRP=&DATAMODE=E

Martinez 3,672,864 49.4%
Castor 3,590,201 48.3%
Bradley 166,642 2.2%

Believe it or not Castor got more votes than Kerry? Despite a strong 3rd party candidate in the Senate race? Despite the fact that there were 10,000 more undervotes in the Senate race?

Kerry got 3,583,544

I'm sure there are 75,000 more votes that we can find in dumpsters across FL.

1. We have got to do something with our voting system.
My husband is wondering if his absentee ballot was even counted.

5. Nothing will change if we do not make this
a National Campaign!

3. Well, she got 92 more votes from Pinellas which were overlooked.
Were these statistics complied after the correction?

4. These are from the certified official results

There were at least 2 counties that have asked to amend their returns but I have no idea where that story went?

We need to raise holy hell if Glenda tries to change the certified results.

9. Yes of course

But in 2000 Katherine Harris wouldn't even give WPB just 5 more minutes to finishing counting their votes. Just 5 more minutes might have change the course of history.

I'm not advocating that we shouldn't count the votes, just that Glenda Hood should not be allowed to change the rules.

7. Unless they changed the law... it's 1/2% for an automatic recount
and 1/4% for a hand recount.

And she's just about out of time to request one and get it counted.

8. They sure are good at barely avoiding a recount.
Reminds me of the Riverside CA race in March of this year.
