2. For one thing...
They have NOTHING to do with the actual number of votes cast.

They are POLLS.

7. we were wrong
most of the country is fearful right now. They see * as their terra daddy.

We lost tonight. We can expect to be further marginalized in the next few years.

We are DONE as a "party". The nation has, sadly, spoken. The US *wants* more war, more bigotry, more insularism, more "empire". It makes the majority- however wrong they are in the long term- feel good and safe NOW.

Ten years from now, * will be seen as a serious mistake- IF we're still around as a nation. But for now- we're DONE.

THEY have spoken.

4. Why do I have this feeling that Rove in the White House....
in a dark corner somewhere pushing and pulling levers
that control the voting machines?

Something is very wrong here.

9. They aren't....you have to look somewhere else for the problem....
...and that "somewhere else" is in the voting machine software, IMHO.

12. I think the exit polls were right on last time
I can't believe I keep hearing pundits say that they blew it in Florida in 2000 by calling it first for Gore. Well yeah -- because the exit polls asked people who they voted for - or who they TRIED to vote for -- but as it turned out, so many of those votes were butterflied or chadded or just not counted. But the exit polls had it just right.

But you never hear anyone admit it.

And I think the same devious, anti-democracy tactics are at it again today.

13. They're NEVER this wrong...
...and that has to be the basis of the challenge if they call it for Bush. Something really reeks here.
