Random good vibes and thoughts from a random guy...
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 11:55 AM by a_random_joel
Greetings, my people.

All of you.

To the most uppity of the Deaniacs to the most reserved of the Clarkies. To the hardcore tin-foil hatters, to the faith-based moderates. Black, White, Jew, Muslim, Christian, athiest, gay, straight, and even to all those wackos in the lounge... It sure feels great to be in this big tent with every single one of you!

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate this place - this little harbor of sanity off the rough and deceptive waves of media we have to navigate each day. You all make me proud! May the higher power, whatever name you choose for it, bless you...

It's been a crazy four years, and I am cautiously optimistic that tonight we are going to party (like it's 1999!)

And if I'm right, I wanted to leave a little gift to all of you to remind your Freeper friends, associates, co-workers and family members(shudder!) how it felt for us, last time around.

Remind them that:

The adults are in charge now.

Remind them that:

They will have to GET OVER IT.

And Remind them that:

We now have a President who is going to restore honor and integrity to the White House.

Perhaps even more importantly, I want to remind everyone here, and hopefully this will resonate beyond this little post to all the blogs and beyond...

Even with a Kerry win, the fight is far from over. A Kerry win will intensify and refocus the hatefulness and vitriol of the other side. We must celebrate our victory, but not for too long. We know what they are capable of and they will be geared to go from the moment the election has been decided. We must remain ever alert, ever vigilant.

We still have a long ways to go. But tonight will be one hell of a giant leap.

Good luck out there and in the words of the Magistrate...

"Let's go get those Bush bastards!"

2. RANDOM GOOD VIBES....
I have been hearing many Bushites threatening to leave the country if Kerry wins.
My first reaction is..LET THEM GO!!!!! Give them free tickets, put them on the boats and wave goodby!!! See what country would be willing to take them in.
Here's the irony as I see it. If Kerry is elected, all the Repugnants won't lose anything!! Their rights will stay intact! They will still be able to proseltyze and preach their fear-mongering, right-wing philosophies. The citizens of this country will truly suffer if Bush is re-selected. We are the ones who will actually lose our rights! No freedom of choice, no right of privacy, no freedom of speech, no freedom of religion, to name jsut a few. Our environment will be destroyed, our children will be killed in pointless wars. So, when it comes right down to it, which candidate will force the citizens of this country citizens to lose more? It is so very obvious to any thinking person.
I can't wait for President John F Kerry!!
KERRY IN A LANDSLIDE!!!

They don't have Rhodesia any more. And I don't think they'd like it a hell of a lot anywhere else I can think of.

BTW, welcome to DU! :hi:

8. Feeling Good, too many volunteers
Yes part of GOTV in St. Louis, went to headquarters, thier was a line of people waiting for a chance to help! To top it off, went and voted about 3pm and I was number 1060 thats the normal total for my polling place, and people were still coming it. It looks so good. I did phone work and near every one I called was or had already voted, most said voted a straight Democratic ticket. Yes Yes Yes.
