Tucker Carlson seems a beaten man...
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 05:46 PM by redsoxliberal
paraphrasing:
'the high turnout today is helping kerry.'

'most people think that the iraq war isn't going well, and that's what they're voting on...'

seem, in his eyes, to be very dim.

Edit: apparently I am miserable at life.
Correct phrase:'a beaten man'
my idiotic phtase:'an beaten man'

:(:(:(

2. Oh I doubt that
Bow tie wearing conservatives are forever.

But Bush's 15 minutes certainly are.

7. yep, my take exactly.

He hitched himself to the wrong bandwagon, and he's finally starting to realize it. It was literally written all over his face.

3. Carlson & Hulme
Anyone hear Carlson talking to Brit Hulme this morning? Hulme said something about asking a relative of Bush's (cousin, I think) what he thought about the race, and the relative gave the finger slicing the neck sign regarding Bush's chances.

lol!
I thought I read that Jon Stewart called him out in private, for admitting he's voting Kerry.
Doesn't sound right, does it?

8. Most people *think* that the Iraq war isn't going well...?
Seems that's not really a matter of opinion. The only real point of contention is just how badly it's going.

9. Alternate explanation.....
Jon Stewart actually had an impact on him. He is expressing honest views--no attempt at spin.

It's OK for him to grieve his loss, so long as he does so honestly.

10. Carlson's strikes me as an unwilling Bush supporter
Remember, he's the one who interviewed Bush for Talk Magazine, when Bush did his Karla Faye Tucker impression. Carlson did not like him then. I think Carlson learned to pretend to like him for his own career's sake, but when he went to PBS, he made comments implying he wasn't happy having to say what he did on CNN, and wanted the chance to be more like Pat Buchanan. I read that as meaning he wanted to be able to disagree with his party when he disagreed with them.

He's got a touch more-- maybe a lot more-- integrity than the average Republican hack. Maybe he'll develop a spine, and actually speak with integrity from now on.

15. I saw an interview with Tucker
some time back that left me with the impression he is HEAPS better than Novack, the Fox boys, etal. Besides that, he is after all married to a democrat.

12. Tucker's always been a twit, this is the first I've seen him be a wimp.
Listening to him whine about how "unfair" it is that people in large numbers hate Bush made me laugh. I wonder how much of a backlash he's suffered from being a dick to Jon Stewart.

17. It's a hate well earned.
No Tucker, it's unfair that an overweight kid is picked on and not invited to the class party.

THAT'S unfair.

...the elephant is on the endangered species list. He probably wishes to bring the party back to "normal" conservative values as opposed to fundamental ideology.

16. it's sad
when large turnout HURTS your candidate! Isn't that a sign that you don't represent most of the people in this country???
