Just on CNN, they said electronic voting is the problem, but Volusia county used optical-scaned paper ballots. But according to terminology, that is neither e-voting or paper ballots. Just something I am frustrated about.

Are you asking what that means? Like paper ballots that are electronically scanned?

Volusia uses optical scanning ... paper ballots fed through scanners which count the precinct vote and forward it on through a regular telephone data connection line to the county central tabulator where we find GEMS (or the ES&S or Sequoia equivalent) lying in wait. Not that the scanners tabulators can't be screwed with or the scanning optics themselves jiggered with.

The problem causing the lawsuit filed today revolves around the official counts not matching what each machine printed out in the precincts on election night. There are many sources that disprove most of what Deanie Lowe is using for excuses. I'm sure it will all come out in the lawsuit.

On election night the poll workers print out one copy to accompany the bags of ballots and one copy to be posted on the outside of the polling precinct. These copies are signed by the poll clerk and sometimes some poll workers.

Deanie Lowe tried to claim these signed copies - dated Nov 2nd - were a third copy which is why they were destined for the shredder. That would be fine except that the numbers do not match the copies printed for Bev on Nov 15th nor do they match copies from Nov 2nd that were dug out from somewhere in the SOE office.

Its not that the print outs are doctored, but a question of what happened to the memory cards. This is why a manual recount of those paper ballots in the select precincts (to begin with) are important.
