Tell a Senator to contest the POTUS election!!
Edited on Wed Nov-24-04 01:42 PM by ClassWarrior
If you saw Fahrenheit 911, you know that the Congressional Black Caucus' brave challenge to the fraudulent 2000 election results failed for the lack of ONE SENATOR'S SIGNATURE.

Let's not let this happen again!! Tell a Senator to challenge the 2004 Presidential election results until we have answers to the charges of voter intimidation, electronic ballot hacking, and outright vote fraud that are emerging daily.

Some DUers are sending messages to maverick Sen. Russ Feingold, figuring he's our best option for making waves. Others are sending them to lame ducks Tom Daschle, Bob Graham, and John Edwards, all of whom have legal standing to sign the challenge - and all of whom have nothing to lose electorally at this point.

Use this convenient "Senate Blaster" created by DUer tommcintyre:

1. My Senator?
Sure that'll work.

Which one, Chris Bond or Jim Talent? /sarcasm

Sorry, but in Missouri, I don't think I'm in a position where asking my own Senator would do a damn bit of good.

5. Then pick one or all of the other four I mentioned...
Feingold, Daschle, Graham, and Edwards - who incidentally promised on Nov.3 that every vote would be counted. Sure Senators give attention to their constituents first, but a jammed email box gets attention too.

12. i think we need to write to all senators pugs included
I think some of them know that this year it's not just about a stolen election, but also about the fate of America and the world. Maybe if we remind them all of that, maybe at least one of them will feel that his own career is not as important as the whole world. And maybe we could ask them if they want to be remembered as someone who refused to stand up for democracy or as the hero or helped save America?
This president really truly is showing all the signs of mental illness and definately Hitleristic delusions and some of them must know this.

17. Hitleristic....
I just heard on the news that the Spanish PM has tried to call "the idiot" to congratulate him on his election.

Can Bush be any dumber than he is? He's refused the calls.

He talks to whom he pleases and shuts out anyone that doesn't agree with him.

This is who is leading our country, i.e., the /worst/ diplomat of all times.

Someone, save me!

28. Another consideration
I appreciate the symbolic value of contesting the election (and practical value as well, should it promote further investigation of vote fraud).

But I am wondering, what would stop the Repugs from contesting the next election should the Dem somehow manage to be certified as the winner and thereby effectively re-stealing the Presidency (assuming they still control the Congress). But, then again, what would stop them from choosing to do that even without a revenge factor.

55. SENATE BLASTER UPDATE
Edited on Thu Nov-25-04 04:38 PM by tommcintyre
<Edit: I'm going to post this separately since there is much more here than I originally intended, and people that already blasted, may not read in here.>

1- Thanks for posting this Classwarrior. I just discovered it, and I'm glad you did it, since all my time (16-18 hrs/day) is consumed on building this and the National media blaster (see below).

2 - I will separate the two sets into Dems and Repubs; however, I prefer to send them to all in the blast. I want the GOP aware of the growing anger about the 2004 attempted (so far) theft. If anything comes of this, they're gonna find out anyway, right? ;~}

3 - I will also work on some kind of ez way to quickly send an em to your Senators only. Many of the autoresponders came back showing a definite pref to constituents. However, I think everyone should also blast all the Senators - again so they get a feeling for the growing anger.

4 - Those that have sent to all may have noticed there were 19 bad addys in there (still a supermajority - not bad). I think these Senators have gone to form mail. The dreaded enemy of blasters! I have some bu lists to check for alt addys; but:

if anyone knows of good em's for the following, please PM me.

senator@sessions.senate.gov
Alaska_Correspondence@stevens.senate.gov

I may make a letter to mass mail to those that can't be blasted letting them know what a mistake it is to go to form mail since, they will be "out of the loop" on mass sentiments of the public. I plan to continue this blaster, the MSM one, and build a House one too. Since if the Chimp stays on, we will have much to fight (vote reform, Judge confmations, Artic drilling, SSI privatization, flat tax, social conservative agenda, etc.)

5 -

I still need help

I need someone to write a "send to a friend" letter to get others to em their Senators.
http://www.independentmediasource.com/senatevote_emailothers.htm.htm

Also, alternative messages and subject headlines would be nice for these pages: <The less time I spend composing the letters, the more time I have to build the pages, etc>
http://www.independentmediasource.com/senatevote_alt_msgs.htm
http://www.independentmediasource.com/voteintegrity_alt_msgs.htm

6 - If you sent a message, but didn't include one of the "senatewatch" ems at the beginning of each set, I can't update you. So PM me here with your email address.
