8. Yes ready to certify
Unless Dem party calls for hand recount. Then they need to pony up the money.

4. Yes with King County In
I believe it's down from 300 and change. Still no official word if there will be a hand recount.

11. I'd expect there will be.
If the machines had a variation of 250 or so from one count to the next... you pretty much HAVE to recount by hand.

I wonder. Were any ballots "found" that had not been counted originally? Or is this merely a recount of the same pool of ballots with a different result? And which counties supplied the difference?

3. Time for a hand recount
Almost every county had to make adjustments to their totals. That is unacceptable for any place using electronic voting. These systems were supposed to be completely reliable and dependable. The recounts should have matched exactly. They didn't. Something major is wrong.

6. King county coming through
King counties results are coming in, and King county is Seattle, no way Rossi won in King. Gregoire up now.

10. Not according to King 5
They just called it for Rossi at 12:40 ... Now we have to wait to see if the Democratic Party will pony up for a recount.

13. I don't understand what's going on
this clearly shows Gregoire with a more than 1400 vote lead, which would be great, but doesn't sound right.

Either way, with a 42 vote difference, you recount by hand.

15. Each party may request recount per county
The newscasters on local news were speculating that the dems may seek hand recounts in specific counties such as King where Gregorie did well.

The assholes may request hand recounts in the counties Rossi did well in.

Gregorie picked up over 1200 new votes and Rossi over 1000 votes before Kitsap counties results. Why did all the votes not count the first time???

16. Paul Berendt chairman of democratic
party in WA just said that they will count and count and count all votes. "We will not allow the Republicans and their judiciary system to decide whose votes count".

17. What's up with the Secretary of State's totals?
http://vote.wa.gov/general/recount.aspx">Here are the recount results as reported on the Washington SoS page. They even break the results down http://www.vote.wa.gov/general/recount_resultsbycounty.aspx">by county. Those totals add up to the same figures.

But they have Gregoire up by 1,487 votes, not down 42. Even more bizarre, on the county page, they have her up 1,302 votes before the recount.

Where are these numbers coming from? The SoS says they're coming directly from the county tabulators. If so, why aren't they the same numbers as the officially-reported totals?
