Please don't jump all over me. I am just typing this because I am confused right now.
The reason: ever since the election ended, I have been trying to hold out for hope that Smirky and his neocons will be exposed as a crooks, and fraud, but I don't know anymore.
Everyone keeps saying that there is fraud, but where is the evidence? The media is slowly reporting it, but they waited two weeks.
I don't like coming off deep, but maybe God wanted Bush to finish cleaning up the mess he made, so that's why he's in there again. People didn't want change. It's sad but true.
Despite all the constant Kerry bashing, I don't want to blame Kerry. I fault the DNC leadership, and his campaign staff in not letting him be himself and trust his instincts (i.e. Swift Boat Liars, etc).
But anyway, all this talk about 2006 and 2008 is tiresome. We should focus on the present, and see what the future holds.
I would have loved to see Kerry/Edwards sworn in as president/vice president on January 20, but I don't know. Based on the statements from Jesse Jackson, the Dems, and others, it sounds like they want to move on and just accept "more of the same." As Tavis Smiley said, Bush can't run anymore after this.
If Kerry wants to run again, he is going to have to prove some DU people wrong. Had he won, none of us would be having this coversation of coulda, woulda, shoulda, and who should have run. Although I didn't agree with his stance on Iraq, he seems intellegent and classy, but unfortunately, the Anti-Bush people energized Bush's base alot more. I would vote for Kerry again, but it looks like the Dems want a southern candidtate who can movtivate the base. Something that Clinton always did.
Anyway, thanks Doohickie and Faye for the encouragement.
