it appears to me that Putin is playing the "vote fraud" card, i.e., after observing the US elections, he decided to arrange a similar scenario in the Ukraine. This would be a win-win situation for Putin: if his candidate sustains the opposition, he has a friendly regime in Kiew; if the opposition topples the alleged winners, this could be a precedent for the U.S. - under the condition that the US election fraud gets a breakthru in the international media.
We can be sure that politicians all over the world are familiar with elections and the significance of exit polls, so most of them know probably that the US suffered a vote fraud attack. And what do you think Putin and his good friend Gerhard Schroeder (they like each other, you can bet on that - similar social origin) are talking about now? Just the Ukrainian election fraud?
Or how to arrange a regime replacement in a country with a rogue government you have no direct influence on?
