Freeman, Paulos, Solomon...few good men
These three academics are presenting the truth of the matter in such a clear way that just can't be ignored.

Their points are the same ones that others on this site have illustrated since November 2nd. The basic arguments or questions for the DNC "strategists" and the American media are:

- How do you explain the discrepance between the exit polling and the final "results" that ALWAYS were in Bush's favor?

- How do you explain the 9 + millions of "new voters" that went for Bush this time around, number that challenges any mathematical/statistical/political/historical performance in recent American history?

- Why the coward MSM accepts as "valid" the situation post USA election but dares to challenge the Ukraine results by twisting their own preset standards?

- Anybody believes that the American democracy is working at this point?

Mind boggling, indeed.

1. It's because we live in America
Where there is free speech, and an independent media waiting to take a stand against crime and villiany. And here in America we know something like this could never, ever happen.

Now, just go back to watching TV...

2. Fascinating
I certainly hope you used some irony while writing your comment, because if you were serious...

4. Of course
it was ironic. I am not blind, nor stupid. This topic has been an ongoing conversation here and at kos.

6. Well...
"KOS" himself has refused to even consider the possibility of electoral fraud on November 2nd. I seem to remember he said on his site that "it wouldn't be healthy for the future of the Democratic Party..."

8. True that
but it doesn't mean there haven't been discussions off the front page.

9. Yes, I read those exchanges
And concerning Mitofsky's position, he has no way out and I actually think that CNN's numbers on election night, that is Mitofsky's numbers are very close to be the key element here.

10. Posted this somewhere else but
Here's Nov 1 frozen in time, from this blog.http://www.ariannaonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15 ...

I'm just going to clip a bit from one post:

"In 2002, multiple races were swung as the result of a "defective chip" found in DIEBOLD machines. In precincts in which the chip was replaced, the vote swung back to what pollsters had predicted. Only a handful of the known defective chips were replaced."

Also, in there somewhere is this Fox poll. Look at these responses...to a Fox poll:
http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/110104_poll.pdf

And you want to tell me nothing smells fishy?

12. stinks to high heaven
they can massage the data after the fact all they want. It doesn't change a thing. The majority did NOT want four more years.

Note: All Freeman's paper (or any other analysis like it) can do is to indicate that the swing from exit polls to vote results is extremely unlikely to have occurred by chance. The ONLY way to decide why this is so is to EITHER have complete data from Edison-Mitofsky so that we can see exactly what happened with the polls OR to recount the votes. I say let's recount the votes!

5. And that is the catch
As the academics have said, there is ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTIFICATION for EDISON-MITOFSKY to refuse making their data available to the public opinion. NONE.
