PeterPan - now we have Bush fill in the blanks!

Bush ventured off his ranch, where he is spending Thanksgiving week, to eat a cheeseburger (all the way) and onion rings at a local hangout and to spend five minutes bantering with reporters about world crises. He was asked what the consequences would be if __________ authorities did not submit to international pressure to reconsider the results, and whether __________ President _____________ had overstepped his bounds by saying Western nations should stay out of the election.

"There's just a lot of allegations of vote fraud that placed their election -- the validity of their elections in doubt," Bush said. "The international community is watching very carefully. People are paying very close attention to this, and hopefully it will be resolved in a way that brings credit and confidence to the __________ government."

That was a more restrained line than Powell took Wednesday, when he said the United States cannot accept the result as legitimate, called for an investigation into evidence of fraud and abuse, and spoke of "consequences for our relationship" if the ___________ government did not act responsibly.

Go write your letters to the editor now, my friends!!

SOMEONE ought to get this to Saturday Night Live! Have Bush give a speak and accidentally say "the US" instead of "The Ukraine" and have an aide whisper to him his mistake. LOL!

1. My letter to the editor
before I saw the opportunity to use Bush's words:

How is it Mr. Colin Powell cannot accept the results of the Ukrainian
elections because the exit polls didn't match the election results, but he
can accept the results of the elections here in the United States when the
exit polls showed Kerry winning in a landslide?

Fill in the blanks: (Powell):"We cannot accept this result as legitimate
because it does not meet international standards and because there has not
been an investigation of the numerous and credible reports of fraud and
abuse," he said. "It is still not too late for ______ authorities to find a
solution that respects the will of the __________ people."

Name,
Address,
Phone

You could easily use the above for one. Go forth and send those letters. :)
