Florida Ballots available for recounting
I just found out from my SOE, that now that the vote is certified, the ballots are available for public viewing.

You do have to come up with some money, which apparently is up to each counties SOE to figure out, but it shouldn't be that expensive.

So why don't we pick a few counties and see if we can get someone like Move On or Michael Moore, to come on down to sunny Florida and let's go count some votes.

I'd love to look at Duval and WPB. Anyone else have any favorites?

1. Problem is, it's been a month...
And not that I think they can erase all traces of fraud, but you're going to have to dig deeper than say, Kerry would have had to three weeks ago.

4. The only way to find out
is to get someone with the resources to organize a group, to go look. I know we will have plenty of volunteers, we would just need funding.

24. They can't erase the voters.
Run the numbers down to the precinct level.
Do the math and find the precincts with unexpected swings.
Then conduct a poll of every voter within the selected precincts to find out how they really voted.

28. Sorry, after the fact never works
Asking people how they voted afterward would be a waste of time and energy and wouldn't 'prove' anything.

11. Seems to me that a lot of the theft would have been in the electronic
voting machines without paper trails. I still think that Florida is so corrupt now and probably Texas is, too. Now, Ohio and what next....

I'm in Broward County so if there is anything I can do, let me know. (I will be in Ohio for one week though and plan to go to the Ohio Rally.)

Is there anyway someone can help me put together for a few of these counties (and I'd love to see West Palm and Broward.)?
1) the total votes and how
2) the total number of registered voters
3) the total number of new voters and how they registered.
4) demographics for the country
5) absentee ballots
6) exit polls
7) and any other info that might be helpful.

How would you get this info? (Last I checked the CNN county by county was not scrolling properly. Perhaps they don't want you checking anymore.)

13. You can also call the Supervisor of Elections
in any county that you are interested in and ask them to give you that information. Mine was very cooperative and willing to answer any question that I asked.

15. Does anyone know how I can obtain the results of the recount for senate
race in florida? Betty Castor requested a recount of the ballots immediately after the election and I am hoping to find something on these ballots that would give us more info on the counties individually.

20. I thought Betty changed her mind
I do not believe she got a recount. She would have had to go to court if she wanted one before the vote was certified.

26. We need to get the DEMS and anyone else who is interested
to organize an effort in each county to look at the ballots and everything else that may be of interest.

Here's a link to links for every SOE in the state. Come on folks, we can do this.

27. I hope someone recounts Florida
Because Bev isn't
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x80620
Bev Harris was just on Thom Hartman and said there will be no recount in Florida. The deadline was Tuesday and because Florida has such a high bar for criteria to do a recount, she wasn't able to meet it in time. She would have had to prove 380,000 votes were in question and they were short.
____________

I am not sure what she is doing to prove fraud but if you can find voters in precincts who would sign affidavits that they voted for Kerry and their votes were not counted, that might help. I do not understand why the Fla dems didn't do this with some type of registration program or verification program. This would be evidence that the election was fraudulent.

29. We need to call the DEM party in FL
and ask them to get off their butts and to do an audit of the votes. Legally it would not be considered a recount, but the results could still have an impact on whether or not Bush is every charged with fraud.

30. We need a STATEWIDE recount
Palm Beach County was entirely electronic thanks to Theresa LaPore (I'm in WPB so I know). Any recounts here would be limited to absentee and the few provisionals.

But, Broward and Miami-Dade would be good counties to mine for votes! So add those to the list.

That Miami Herald article showed Kerry gaining here little every time in bush county recounts. There should definitely be a statewide recount.

Kerry should jump into the fray and call for a Florida recount! We need to get the momentum going!!
