Wayne Madsen from NPR - The check
Not sure if I can get my media to play, but am posting as received from elsewhere:
BREAKING: Votes padded for Bush in Ohio, FL, Texas, Calif ?
Here is a link to Madsen's interview on NPR. Right click on the link, go to target as... send to desktop, then play

Wayne Madsen was interviewed last evening on Pacifica radio's Sunday Monitor. Here's the link to download the program:

http://www.kpftx.org/archives/kpftsignal/mp3/041128_180004monitor.MP3

Madsen comes on at about 21:45 minutes, and he begins discussing the
election at 26:00.

Among other things, he specifically states that election fraud
occurred in Ohio, Florida, Texas, and California (the latter states intended to "pad the popular vote").

Sounds pretty good to me any thoughts - bmoney07

Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 03:41 PM by EC
this too:
http://www.atsnn.com/story/90001.html

The Lucas County Democratic party headquarters was burglarized overnight by an unknown number of thieves. Amongst the stolen items were three computers that contained sensitive details about Democratic voters and details about the partys finances.

The three computers contained sensitive voter information by way of phone numbers of voters, campaigners and volunteers and some secret campaign manuals issued by the DNC to help swing the vote to Ohio. The computers also contained emails of support for the volunteers and candidates and this is a major psychological blow to Democrats in the region.

What troubles the staff at Lucas County HQ is the fact that the thieves knew exactly what to steal. There was little damage elsewhere and only the three computers and several documents. No valuables were taken either.

Lucas County is a heavily democratic county and without details of voter names, addresses and phone numbers then this WILL seriously hamper the Get Out The Vote campaign. With Ohio being a swing state this could literally tip the scales over to Bush for in the county alone. The county has an estimated population of 500,000

and wondering where it all fits in, and I remember someone quitting the Board of Elections in Ohio, maybe about a week before the elections, just can't remember who it was or why, it seems to me, he/she quit because they didn't want to be involved.

9. This really did happen.
It was in the Columbus Dispatch before the election. They said it seemed odd because the thiefs knew EXACTLY which computers to nab.

16. This sounds eerily like...
The same article I rmember reading about computers getting ripped from a *republican* office I think in Washington State. I mean, sentence structure and everything makes my memory click.

Tread softly... don't use till you have a solid source.

19. Here's some more links - one with pictures
Here's NBC report of it:

http://www.nbc24.com/Global/story.asp?S=2419423&nav=1aI4RuDD

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Democrats in Toledo say thieves broke into a building housing party offices, making off with three computers overnight.

A staffer working for John Kerry's presidential campaign discovered the break-in this morning.

Police have been called in and are investigating. Lucas County Democratic Party finance chairman Jerry Chabler says a main computer containing financial records and other sensitive records is missing.

Also gone are a laptop belonging to a lawyer working for the Kerry campaign and a computer used by campaign staffers for a county commissioner. Roger Sanders is a volunteer lawyer with the Kerry campaign who is working on making sure voters in the county can vote on Election Day.

22. Find Sondra Robinson!
EC said: "I remember someone quitting the Board of Elections in Ohio, maybe about a week before the elections, just can't remember who it was or why, it seems to me, he/she quit because they didn't want to be involved."

Sondra Robinson was the woman in charge of the absentee ballots in Cuyahoga County. The ballots were poorly designed and may have misled voters to select someone they did not intend to vote for. She quit sometime later, after that came out, but the boss, forgetting his name, said he didn't know why she quit and she wouldn't say.

I keep thinking that she knows something important and ought to be found, and I've written to various people trying to find her or more information about her resignation, but no dice. I did find a listing of a Sondra Robinson in Beachwood, in Cuyahoga County, with an address and telephone number, but no email. I didn't feel right about contacting someone who may or may not have been the woman at the BoE, and even if she was, what the heck would *I* say to her? Y'know?

23. I sympathize with your dilemma..
But calling can't really hurt, can it? How many times a day do you get interrupted on the phone by someone trying to sell you something? We have a legitimate citizen's research posse here. If she's the wrong person, you let her hang up and apologize. If she's the right person, you explain just what you've said to us here: you've been following the news, you're deeply concerned for the future of our democracy, and you want to know if she knows anything which is important about the situation in Cuyuhoga county. If she indicates that she might, ask if she would be willing to speak to a reporter about it. Or if there's something else she'd feel more comfortably doing, like preparing an affidavit for a volunteer lawyer.

Please give it a try and let us know what you learn! Thanks.

24. I understand your argument, but it still seems like an invasion
of this person's privacy. I made my decision. If someone *else* who felt *differently* about it wants to call... well, I certainly can't stop them from looking up her name and number and doing that.

Plus, um, I am actually phone-phobic and terribly shy in real life. I know I'd stutter and stumble and probably cry. I'm sorry.

27. sure, don't sweat it...
If someone else -- say, a professional telemarketer who can charm the ear off an elephant and just happens to be off work tomorrow -- wants to follow up, can they get the phone number from you?

Any volunteers out there?

29. I guess so...
I mean, all I did was use the Yahoo! function that looks for people and deduced that of the three Sondra Robinsons that came up, the one most likely to be her was from Beachwood. I guess I can look it up again, sure. PM me if you want.

20. If a Texas voting scandal brings shrub down....
it will be a more than fitting payback for his running TX into the ground for 6 years and then leading the nation down a deadly path for 4 yrs. This may give DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS a whole new meaning.
Maybe they can turn the Crawford ranch into a new federal prison for Bush and his cronies?? We can have a Crawford DU meetup to get it built...BYOB...Bring Your Own Barbed wire.
