I'm ready to concede.
I've had enough. If the majority of Americans think that Mr. Bush is smart enough and intelligent enough to be the President then God bless them they are probably right. I've had it up to here with politics. I tried to protect the senior citizens so they wouldn't have to choose between food and medicine, but guess what? You're on your own. I tried to keep young men and women from going to war, but guess what? You're on your own. I tried to protect the environment, but guess what? It's on its own. What this election has taught me is that from now on it's every man for himself. The best I can do is turn my head when I see a shipload of young people headed off to war. I tried to help, but America wouldn't let me. In the next few days I might tune in to CNN or some news channel to see when Senator Kerry finally concedes, but for all intents and purposes I'm through with the political process. I need to look out for my best interests and ultimately my survival and that's exactly what I intend to do. I'm going to bed now. May God have mercy on The United States of America.

1. Take a hike, quitter. If you can't recognize fraud when you see it....
...you need a one-way ticket off this bus.

So long....don't let the cyber-door slam you in the butt on your way out.

3. I think you should back off...
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 04:11 AM by Scooter24
People here are simply stating their feelings. If they feel this election is over, then so be it. Maybe if things change, then next time they might not jump the gun? What they need is hope, maybe a hug? Your condescending rhetoric is not going to help anyone feel better nor establish any sort of camaraderie in the party.

6. Like diarrea- it's cathartic but not a fit subject for conversation.
Bush has not won either.

We were up against outrageous lies (check out the % of * supporters who still believe Iraq helped w 911, a LIE), a mass media that bent us over and gave em the astroglide, an administration that lies constantly as a primary method of communication....what we have now are the beginnings of resistance. Your personal level of participation, exhaustion, depression etc is total your own and understandable but this is NO TIME TO QUIT.
My first response upon reading your post was a lot of bad words that would surprise my kids. Instead I give you The Anti-Coup by Gene Sharp.

7. It's time to fight and attack the media and the election process
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 04:24 AM by Roland99
It's time for us to take back our country from the ground up AND from the top down.

We must be more brutal on the media. Jon Stewart lobbed the loudest shot. Let's carry on the fight! We MUST have accountability from the 2nd Bush term. We simply MUST have it!!

We must also keep fighting against the Christian Reconstructionists. The Senate wins in South Carolina and Oklahoma only prove these dangerous minds are beginning to take over our government.

Fight to the end!

8. That oversized "popular vote" lead gives me pause.
Think of all the groups this President alienated:

o Blacks
o Gays
o Plenty of Convervatives endorsed Kerry. No Gore voters endorsed Bush.
o Family of National Guard and Reservists whose family has been deployed on a one year "weekend warrior" mission.
o Muslims
o long-term unemployed

What else? I know there are more.

Bush had a lock only on:

o White upper-middle class
o Evangelists.

I don't trust that number. E-Vote Hanky Panky. :(

If you feel ready to concede, concede to your wife or husband. Those that sweated blood for this campaign don't need to know of your thoughts.

15. HELL NO.
No.

Do you honestly believe that most voters picked Bush?

No.

Do you think the poor want to pay more taxes than the rich?

No.

Do the elderly want to die years early because government doesn't care about them?

No.

Do young people want to get drafted?

No!

Do black people want to become(remain?) a permanent underclass?

No!

Do Americans want to destroy the environment?

NO!

Do we want to unilaterally ignore other countries?

NO!!

Do we want to elect a President who killed 1100 Americans in a war against an enemy who WAS NOT A THREAT?

HELL NO!

America didn't elect Bush the first time, and we haven't elected him this time. Don't accept their outrageous lies as facts.

President-elect Kerry.

If they can lie so blatantly, why can't we tell the truth just as blatantly?

President-elect Kerry.

Say it. Keep saying it. Correct others when they get it wrong.

President-elect Kerry.

The words on every American's lips.

17. Geez
You people are delusional. I thought I found a nice place to intelligently discuss the election, but it seems the people here have trouble with reality. You even ban people for stating simple fact. You can ban me, it won't matter, I've got one foot out the door already.

18. Nice place to discuss elections was pre-Bushco mentality.
This may be war. I don't lose sleep, stress constantly, donate money I don't have, and take off work to volunteer for causes I like to discuss nicely when I perceive possible fraud may be involved in the picture.

I'm about to lose it and I pray to god others feel the same way. Maybe it's just time to stop being nice. When you do what you've always done, you're going to get what you always got.

28. Here's a simple fact...
The Republican Party has abandoned democracy. If democracy in America is to survive, we must work for it.

Intelligent discussions must begin and in with election theft. Anything else is deliberate ignorance.

23. You have no right to "concede".
Only candidates get to do that. Indeed, Kerry may do so in the coming days.

You can only give up. But what, exactly, will you stop doing? What mighty efforts will now cease?
