I just finished reading "Manhunt: The 12 Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer"
I thought that it was quite good - are there any other books that cover this same topic? I also have a copy of "Twenty Days" by Dorothy and Philip Kunhardt, which is "a narrative in text and pictures"...but its more of a "coffee table" book.

Thanks -

Tim

1. I thought it was exceptional myself.

One of the better books I've read this year and I read plenty I can tell you. Sometimes I wonder what would've happened if Johnson had been killed too. He was so against Reconstruction and was no friend of the ex-slaves.

2. I agree - I know that it's a cliche, but I had a hard time putting it down!
And, to me, that's the sign of a good book - especially when you know how the story is going to end. I always had a "sketchy" idea of what happened to Booth after the assassination (fled the scene, met up with Dr. Mudd, killed in a barn...) but the way the story was told was excellent.
