My Stroke of Insight, by Jill Bolte Taylor, Ph.D.
Ms. Taylor was a brain researcher. She had a stroke in 1996, and was able to document what was happening to her and her recovery.

She had lost her linear thinking verbal skills in her left brain. She wanted to stay in her right brain and feel as one with the universe. But she made herself work to regain the left brain skills.

Absolutely fascinating read!!!

There is also a video on the TED website.

2. An amazing woman. As a teen, I drowned.
Long story, but I flat-lined.

I really identified with her account of recovery and rehab.

4. My doctor read this and it is now making the rounds through the office
the right brained way of viewing things she found utterly fascinating. Personally, I'm working on developing my right brain more.
