4. Yes! Yes! Yes! PROFOUNDLY excellent book!
If you're not familiar with the material, it's one of those books that can literally change your whole worldview.

Two favorite examples:

A South American civilization, with recorded language, about the same time as Sumeria, (i.e. first known).

A civilization that managed to live from the west coast of S. America all the way to the tops of the mountains, and had an elaborate system for manufacturing and distributing food, clothing, etc. WITHOUT TRADE. All family and government welfare...

5. there was this dude who made a movie about it and this guy Vangelis
wrote music for it which I used to like before my brain started to understand classical music.
