1. Nuts bad or Nuts good?
Personally, i was overjoyed by Season 4. I think it may just be their best so far. It's really entertaining, and the cliffhanger at the end of the season is intense.

2. It gets nuttier
I got annoyed with it starting with last year's finale. I kept watching it, and I think it has gotten better since then.

I still like the first two seasons the best.

14. Me, too. It's a unique style in television storytelling.
I love a puzzle, and Lost is one great big puzzle, to me. The FBs and FFs just add to the mystery. Whenever they make reveals via FB or FF, there are new questions raised. They keep us guessing.

7. I'm a big fan
I'm looking forward to this week's season finale, but I'm not looking forward so much to the nine months or so we'll have to wait until the start of the next season. If you haven't gotten to the episode "The Constant" yet, prepare yourself for some mind blowing.

8. I imagine
that every week the writers go into their conference room, grab a cup of coffee, sit down and say "How can we fuck with our viewers this week?"

10. Another Lost fan/addict here! [SPOILER Alert]
Edited on Sat May-31-08 04:06 AM by Joolz
***If you haven't watched the season finale yet, and plan to do so, read no further!***

Last night's season finale was awesome, IMO... In typical Lost style, we were given answers to some pressing questions (like: how Ben ended up in Tunisia in Halliwax's parka, when/how the Oceanic 6 came up with their cover story and how they were rescued, what happened to Jin --I'm not sure he's really dead, BTW--, etc.), and left with whole new questions and mysteries to ponder during the loooong hiatus (like: what the heck WAS that wheel in the icy room all about? What was Halliwax talking about on the video ? What happened to Daniel? How did Locke end up in that coffin? etc.)

I loved the Des and Pen reunion, Sayid giving Keamy what-for, the exchange between Miles and Rose over the peanuts (great line from Miles!), Sawyer swimming ashore (I was worried we might lose him) to quip with Juliette, and Ben's goodbye/apology to Locke. Seriously creepy was Christian appearing to Michael on the freighter, and Claire in Kate's dream. Sad was Jin's death (although I do think we may see him alive again), Sawyer's last kiss with Kate on the chopper, and Locke in the coffin.

So, what did the rest of you Lost fans think of the season finale?

(ETA: Oh, and I forgot to even mention "moving the island"... wow... to where and WHEN did it go???)

11. Love it! We share
many of the same questions. Claire appearing to Kate was eerie and coffin scene threw me for a lop. The body that was there was the last one I expected to see. I am happy for Sayid.

12. Why are you happy for Sayid?
Just wondering...

The whole Locke in the coffin thing is interesting. At least this is in the future, so we know he's still gonna be around for a while in present time. And Ben says he has to return to the island, too. So, they're gonna have to transport Locke's body to the island somehow? Icky...

I figure he was using the alias "Jeremy Bentham" (BTW, look up that name on Wikipedia, and check out the stuff about the "Auto-icon"!) because it would be too dangerous to be going about using his real name off-island, under the circumstances. I had no idea "Bentham" was gonna turn out to be Locke though!

<<<<WARNING: SOME OF THE FOLLOWING DISCUSSION MIGHT BE CONSIDERED SPOILERISH>>>>

You may already know this, but the name "Jeremy Bentham" was actually used in the newspaper clipping about the memorial services that Jack held in his hand in his car in last years season finale (fans blew it up and pieced it together), too. When questioned about it in a podcast, Lindeloff and Cuse pooh-poohed it and said the name was meaningless, the whole clipping was just a prop, blah-blah-blah. And yet, they actually did use it. LOL So, did they set that whole thing up just to mess with the fans' heads, or did they decide to go ahead and use the name because fans sleuthed it out of the clipping? I think it was probably planned, because it's the name of yet another historical philosopher, and they seem to enjoy doing things like that with names. Still, their previous denial of its importance is perplexing/amusing, IMO. :D

Another odd thing about the newspaper clipping is that it also mentioned "Jeremy Bentham" being survived by a teenage son. So... does Locke have a son we don't know about? A lot of people were speculating it would be Michael in the coffin, because of the mention of a son, but when it became apparent Michael was going to die on the freighter (or did he?), that was more or less ruled out. Wonder how they'll handle this mention of a son for Bentham/Locke...

Two more seasons... lots of possibilities...

16. I guess *Spoilers*
and if they intentionlly screwed with people about the Bentham thing and did it on purpose, that sheds some light on everything else they have said. Too many times I have discussed a theory only to have a friend say, "No, the producers said that isn't it." My reply of "Well, they aren't going to say 'OK, you got us, that's the answer--no reason to watch any more' now are they?" hasn't held much water.
