I'm completely fuc*ed up.
I was channel searching this AM and at one of the morning shows they were talking about the concert that everyone has been waiting for and kids (girls) have been in line since Tuesday to see. It's the Jonas Bros.!!!! So I open my Boston Globe and there is a story today about the sold event of the year....the Jonas Bros. Now, I admit I'm on the downside of life but I still listen to music and much of it new. But till this AM, I have never heard of the Jonas Bros. Where have I been?

I don't know who half the people on the tabloids are any more. Every week I see names of people that I've never heard of before splashed across the front pages of everything from People to The Globe.

3. You aren't in my house with my 8 year old daughter, that's for sure!
Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lavato....I don't think any of these kids is older than 15 and they are all superstars.

13. Sad isn't it? These kids have no resources on how to handle their enormous fame.
Then they become yesterday's news and don't know what to do with themselves because they have no skills other than singing and dancing.

5. They are Currently on the cover of Rolling Stone
According to the article, they were a hard working, traveling in a van, family act that got recognized and blessed by the Disney machine. The kids actually play their instruments which is better than nothing.

i just fear what all of this exposure, hype, pressure will do to these young men.

I've never heard any of their stuff.

First time I ever heard about the Jonas Brothers, right here on DU, last New Year's Eve, I think. They were playing at the big Times Square party and one of them was wearing a Victorian style jacket and a top hat. God bless the DU snark machine. I still laugh about that every time I see the Jonas Brothers.
