What do you know about Pink Martini?
My husband and I are going to the Rose Bowl and thought it would be cool to go to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Pink Martini is playing two New Year's Eve concerts but both are sold out and tickets on ebay and other sites are really expensive. Are they worth it? So far, they're going for $200 a pair and up -- way up!

If not Pink Martini, any other suggestions for New Year's Even in the LA area? We like Dixieland jazz, big band, blues, classical and chamber and "world" bands -- hence, the interest in Pink Martini.

Thanks!

3. They're from Portland, and they're fun, but I wouldn't pay
$200 to see them, especially after seeing them for free around Portland all those years.

4. We've decided against it. But one of the things that caught my eye
is that they are a progressive band that played a lot of benefits for progressive causes, so if they ever come to Austin, I think we'll try to go -- and get tickets before the scalpers!
