The most powerful video you've seen?
Mine is from Michael Jackson's This Is It. I still can't explain it to people without breaking into tears. It's embarrassing.

It's about a young girl who is playing on the grass, smelling the beautiful flowers. Then the bulldozers come. They are destroying everything. The girl starts running away from them. In the distance, she sees one lone flower. She desperately tries to save it, while the dozers are getting closer and closer. And now I'm in tears again.

2. That video was great!
Couldn't understand the lyrics, but the images of those workers was incredible. Thanks for posting it.

4. I like it because it always get's people fired up
I occasionally hand out a USB drive loaded with "subversive" materials designed to make people question the status quo. That video is in a wmv file on that USB drive. "What side are you on?" and a George Carlin clip panning the American Dream seem to get people where they live.

5. Mine is similar
It was a film that was shown to my science class in 1970 or 71. The most memorable scene for me was a shot of the most disgusting gunk spewing out of a pipe, with a voiceover by Lorne Greene saying "blood in the Missouri River..."

6. How are you defining "Powerful"?
Just any moving video, or political?

The first politically moving music video I can remember off the top of my head is Eminem's Mosh; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M9MTle-8AM

10. It's been cleansed from the web...
King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid Man played to images of the destruction of the WTC, the invasion of Iraq and the neocon Dubya junta.

Apparently it was too damn powerful to be left up online.

11. Stand by me around the world.
Brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it. And I've watched it hundreds of times.

These guys (Playing For Change) were going to do a bunch of songs like this, but I think they did such a good job on the first one, that anything else is superfluous.

16. Khanate - Dead
A seriously dark and disturbing video dealing with suicide. There's no way to watch this and forget it. Got to love the ending, as the vocals whisper, "You could have stopped it...".

Watch at your own risk.

18. I liked the end whisper
Don't care for the minute plus credits at the end. Kind of off putting.
