Gary Collins Lands in Jail

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Longtime actor and former talk show host, Gary Collins, spent Tuesday night at the Harrison County jail.

He was arrested on a felony charge for failure to pay a restaurant tab.

Collins is married to former Miss America and Miss Mississippi beauty queen, Mary Ann Mobley.

In Jackson, Mississippi, Collins was fined $500 last month on a misdemeanor charge after he allegedly left the scene of an accident.

1. Damn... It seems like he has some major problems going on..

I always liked him and thought him to be one of the "good guys." I hope this is not suggestive of something serious going on.

2. People are saying that he and his wife

are having troubles, but no one seems to have any evidence of it. It's not even known if he had the money to pay the tab. It's a strange story.

4. Could be.

It could be gambing issues as well; there are several casinos in Biloxi. Drinking and gambling together can be pretty toxic. What ever his problems are, I hope he's able to get the help he needs. I always thought he was a nice guy, too.
