Our UU Social Action Store
Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 10:12 AM by displacedtexan
Last Fall, My UU Social Action Committee decided to raise funds. I designed some Tee Shirts & stuff and opened a CafePress store.

Random Unitarians must have found the store. We're actually making money. Not a lot, mind you; but enough to help fund one of our community grants.

BTW, this is the famous "Channing Sermon" church-- where modern (1817) Unitarianism was defined by William Ellery Channing's 1819 sermon.

Here's a sample shirt:

Please check out our store and offer feedback.

1. Most excellent, displacedtexan!
I just graduated with an M.Div. to be a UU minister. My degree holds a concentration in justice and peace studies. I've bookmarked your page for when I get a job (and therefore, money). I really like the camisole--do you think it's appropriate for UU clergy? ;)

BTW, you going to GA? It's in Texas, maybe you'd get to visit family? I was thinking about trying to set up a DU-UU meet-up there, but don't know if there's enough of us here to get anything going. What do you think?

2. I grew up in Fort Worth.
Not going to GA, though. I go "home" when the weather is cooler.

You should contact our co-ministers, Revs. Phyllis Hubbell & John Parker Manwell for guidance on securing guest minister gigs this summer. They know a lot of people.

Did you notice the architectural design shirt in our Cafe Press store? That's from the original drawings of the church (First Unitarian of Baltimore).
