LU lab called on again to check ancient DNA
Kathryn Reuseh uses a pipette during the first day of the Paleo DNA ancient DNA training program Monday at Lakehead University.
A Thunder Bay DNA expert was in New York City on Monday to discuss findings that could help researchers prove that Jesus did marry Mary Magdalene and that they had children. ...

====================
I'm only posting this to illustrate one point.
Our current Resident Junta is a bunch of War Criminals, Torturers, and Corrupt Politicos.
If I post a thread on War Crimes and Torture, noone seems to give a damn.
Either that, of the Admins are fixing the stats.
But put up a thread on something totally stupid, and look at the hits pile up.

If you opened this thread, you may well be a VERY GOOD GERMAN!!

3. There are so many possibilities
"If you opened this thread, you may well be a VERY GOOD GERMAN!!"

There are so many possibilities as to why a person may or may not open a particular thread it boggles the mind. Implying that one may be a subservient authoritarian because one simply opens a thread is quite... limited in it's scope of reasoning.

But hey-- if you get some self satisfaction and preening validation out of it... enjoy! :eyes:

Barry Bonds Has Been Blackballed = 1137 views = May-12-08 09:30 AM

US Warship Heads Back To Mediterranean = 84 views

71 Percent Of Iraqis Want U.S. Forces To Withdraw = 22 views

Iraq: U.S. Confirmed Deaths = 4076... Iraqi's = over 1 million? = 87 views

Iraq’s secret war of widows deepens = 82 views

I've seen this again and again on DU!
It is a reflection of the Nation and it's inability to do anything about a Junta of War Criminals!

O-kay, chief-- I'll confess. I'm a Good German. Ich bin ein jelly donut and all that...

Couldn't be anything else--- has to be that. The possibilities are limited to only one choice. Of course, how damnably silly of me (or anyone else) to think otherwise...

22. Calm down.
The 80/20 rule. 20% accomplish 80% of the work. Concentrate on those 20% and quit taunting the 80%.
My advice. YMMV

4. How on earth could DNA prove Jesus married Mary?
If they had children it would prove that. But it still wopuld not prove they married.

Here is another similar experiment in the appeal of yellow journalism on DU:

Are DU readers and participants susceptible to Psychological Operations?

17. I'm sure you will give us a list of topics...
I'm sure you will give us a list of topics that are worthy of our time... a list of approved topical material that meets your high moral and ethical standards of what we should or should not be interested in, yes?

or maybe you could post a list of topics that no one should click on, regarldess of whimsy, flights of fancy or mood-- topics that will reveal how puerile and immature we are as a culture. Start it off with console games threads, mm-kay? As I imagine that one who is as concerned with what other people read on DU (and goes onto to invalidly infer that must mean that is all they interested in), would never waste his or her time playing console game when there are *so* many more important things in this world to be doing...

18. No. No "maybe". People hate being dicked around, and hate the people who dick them around.
Especially when those people speak DOWN to them, arrogantly,
from some self-awarded authoritarian High-Horse "position".

This is an equivalent of a rickroll. I put IGNORES on rickrollers. Then there is a ZERO chance I would look at your threads. This is a COMMUNITY. You can act like it, or be the quarrel maker. Either way is acceptable. Consequences differ.

15. Now that's just fuckin stoopid!
You suggest that I am submitting to a fascist dictator because I don't do what you want me to do. But if I do things you want me to do, I am submitting to YOUR fascists dictates.

Here's a thought, If I just say "BITE ME" is that submission to a fascist dictator.

(Poor baby didn't get his way and now he's throwing a tantrum.)

16. So we all should be focused on serious political issues and outraged 100% of the time....sounds like
a boring, depressing world you live in. Existence is more than corruption, torture and war and I don't judge people because their interests aren't identical to mine.

Yet, suddenly, I am a VERY GOOD GERMAN!!! ????

When someone posts a rickroll, they go on my ignore list.
