My 10,000th post.

I wanted to post it in R/T because that is where I got my DU bones. Didn't think it would come this soon but I didn't know how many posts I was going to be making as a mod. Anyway, not as thought out as I might like it but here it goes:

I know I've had it out with a lot of you in here and I've also established some very nice online friendships. To those on both sides, I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I have appreciated the heated discussions. Sometimes things may have gotten out of hand, but I have always know that outside a discussion of religion, we could all sit down around a beverage and find out that we have WAY more in common than not.

I'm enjoying my run at mod, though it has cut down my time in here. I have been reading, but just don't respond for a multitude of reasons.

I wanted something more glorious, but 10,000 kind of snuck up on me.

You will undoubtedly rack up quite a few while you're a mod...

I recall doing 6000 in the four months I did as a mod...

I know that's kind of an odd question, but your 10,000th post kind of sneaked up on me too, and I was even less prepared to deal with it.

EDIT: Damn, by time I hit submit, other people rushed in ahead of me! It's not fair!

I did not know there was a way you could find out your post count until today. So I looked it up and I, too, apparently recently passed the 10,000 barrier. Then I discovered that I could look up other poster's counts as well.

Jesus H. Christ!! I was floored. Either I type extremely slow or people spend a lot more time here than I do. Some of you guys are amazing - 50,000, 100,000 posts. Even if you were here since when Skinner created DU in 6 days and rested on the 7th day, that's more that 30 posts every day.

Anyway, congratulations, goblinmonger, on reaching this plateau. Hope it isn't too long when I can congratulate you on post 100,000.
