"Fundies Say The Darndest Things"

Who else here has stumbled across this site? I'm not an atheist/agnostic, but I get a kick out of the nuggets of sheer lunacy that end up there. They're open to general right-wing blubber as well, so I've even submitted plenty I've found on my own. Check the link below, I'm certain most DU'ers will absolutely love it. 2. No body likes to pay taxes but I wish some of these nut cases

would explain how the government would give us just the basic services if they didn't have the taxes to pay for them. Especially the defense contracts that the republicans are so crazy to fund.

3. I wish it was possible for those morons to live in a tax-free nation for just one day.

We can tell them it would be like Haiti, but that's too abstract. They would actually have to see their own street crumbling, houses left to burn (and consume entire neighborhoods), rampant crime, a totally unstable currency, scams everywhere, unsafe water, etc. ,etc., etc.

4. Exactly

These morons are led to have an almost knee-jerk contempt for the government, as if it's some kind of gigantic entity of pure evil. They seem to forget that it's a government of, by, and for THEM. Then again, whenever government serves their primitive urges like war, torture, and keeping gays from getting married, they're sure to be behind it 100%.

6. Part of their belief system

They think that the antichrist will be head of some massive government that will attempt to mark everybody (with bar codes or microchips) and start slaughtering christians. Once you've swallowed a whopper like that, it's easy to be scared of the government 24/7.
